Did a search and did not find any stories about this.
Bitcoin blew through the old All Time High on news of repeated institutional investments.
As I was typing it exceeded $21,000. Yikes.
Thanks Pornhub.
Amazing to invest billions in a ‘data record’ on a data-base that can exist on a thumb-drive.
The scam continues.
Big surge in money laundering, or capital flight from somewhere?
Yup. We scammed Mass Mutual out of $100 mil the other day. Suckers.
Economic books will point to that moment as a turning point.
Still have no idea what this bite thing is. No reason to care I suppose.
As The Fed makes $$ out of thin air.
How to become rich overnight:
Invest $1 million in bitcoin. End up with $21,000.
LOL.
Well I bought 4 bitcoin in 2014 when I was living in Saudi Arabia to have a way to make purchases on the web when I couldn’t use my credit card for some sites.
That cost me 1,000. I later sold 1 for 2,000 to lock in at least some profit.
I still have 3.2 and since BC throws off other types of crypto I have 3.9 each of CCH and BCV.
So my crypto wallet today is around 70k, 100% pure profit with no way to take a loss. Wish I had bought 20,000 when I bought.
I bought some way back when it was around $600.00.
I held onto it for several months and sold it for a $1400.00 profit.
I think its an interesting but risky investment. I recently bought some and I’m up $300.00. I will very likely hold on to it for a while and then sell it when I feel like I’ve made a decent profit.
Hit and Run!
Just forget about it for two years.
This rise has been more methodical and controlled. There are a lot of big investment firms who have “changed their minds” about this.
Risky? Not as it was @$600.
Just buy it and forget it. In two years you will be happy.
My initial investment was $2800 in 2013. It is well into six figures today.
Wild ride.
I bought about 200 bucks worth of bitcoin oh maybe three or four years ago. It promptly lost about $100 in value. I looked at it a couple of years ago and it’s still sitting at about $100 or so. I know I got in well after the boom. But at least I didn’t throw serious money at it. And who knows?maybe one of these days it will blow up again.
Institutional money managers are buying and pushing crypto higher - likely much higher.
I’ve invested systematically over the past years and done far better than real estate and stock markets.
I have no intention of selling.

Bitcoin Surges Over $10,000, could surpass $15,000, Digital Currency Experts Say
The audience here at FR tends to run older and very conservative financially.
That’s ok. They are good people. Think about the older, conservative folks NOT on the internet. I can only imagine what THEY think of crypto currencies.
You might want to look at it now. Way up since two years ago.
