The American character ain’t what it used to be. We have become a docile and unquestioning people.
Our legislatures don’t want to assume any responsibility either. They are weak and subservient to governors and bureaucracies.
I don’t know how many times this needs to be said, but here we go again...
Masks do not prevent YOU from getting covid. They are a measure, only a measure, that you don’t give OTHERS your spit and breath in an attempt to protect THEM.
If you can breathe without an air supply, you’re gonna get covid. If people can hear you speak through the mask then that mask isn’t going to filter out covid.
Idiots wear mask when they are walking down the street. When they jog, when they ride bikes and even when they are behind the wheel alone (Or with someone else).
The most significant thing a mask does is send a message to those around you that you are considerate. Or, if misused (used in the above examples by mask-fanatics or kept below the nose and chin by mask-rejectors) you send the message that you’re an idiot.
People are being idiots on both sides of the argument but when you keep the whole thing in perspective it couldn’t be easier.

Here’s my funny little story from recent
I’ve been driven crazy here in Marin County seeing everybody young old men and women everybody who is wearing masks out in the middle nowhere
So the other day I’m riding my little mountain bike on a ridge in the East Bay above Berkeley and I see this woman approaching from the other direction on a bicycle
At about 100 yards away she starts pointing at her face and I know what she saying. Of course I’m not wearing a stupid ass face diaper I never do
So as she approaches I see she’s riding a road bike she’s a road bike weenie and she’s not only got a mascon but a face shield riding by herself in the middle of nowhere
I act like I’m sort of paying attention and smiling and everything until she gets about 5 feet away
And then right in her face as loud as I can I yell “ FUCK MASKS 🎭!!!”
It scared the living crap out of her and she very nearly fell off her bike as I turned around to watch her
She was so terrified of me that she tried to mumble “ f you” but I just laughed heartily at her so loud !!!! that she just scampered away.
Us regular normal people are very very tired of this Covid nonsense and are getting to the point where we will not tolerate your KAREN - Ness anymore!!!
