Viewing the landscape...the uncivil nature of things has been brewing since the mid-1990s. Whoever wrote this ‘piece’...probably hasn’t gotten out of the office or beltway...in their entire life.
Saw the same thing when they managed to get rid of Nixon. That is when the media was really empowered to be kingmakers. The unrest was perhaps even more serious then than now, and stayed that way until Ronald Reagan kicked their butts (the first ‘Tea Party’ candidate).
The uncivil nature started well before the 90s. Start with the 60s.
