Restore our Republic

Thank you all for all that you are doing Could you please do one more thing and read the following proposal?

I originally researched it and wrote it back in 2009. Our Constitution has already been corrupted to the point where we will need to sustain the type of activities in which you and so many others are valiantly engaged.

What it looks like to me is that many of our conservative leaders (not you, or any of the grassroots members/leaders, by the way) are having more fun playing the game and so enjoy having such a broad and robust population of citizen players, that they just aren't all that interested in winning. That would end the game. Their power would recede.

I certainly believe in civic duty, but when that civic duty reaches a point where it consumes all of our time away from work, it is just another form of slavery to the state. I spent a decade as a citizen activist with the tea parties and even ran for office, only to see our situation continue to deteriorate. The Trump presidency turned it around, but he did not have time to correct the Constitutional corruption. So downward we go again.

Until we re-balance our ship of state, properly implementing the meta division of powers among the Federal Government, The States and The People, we will continue on this path of full-time civic duty and also continue losing ground because the Federal Government and its accomplices in the media and big business pulls all of the strings. Combined, they can buy off or extort our elected representatives one way or another because none of us are perfect. We don't have an army of Trumps. We need to fix the problem at the source while doing all we can to allay the destruction planned for America by the Democrat party and its puppet-masters.

Please read the following plan and the supporting logic at the link at the bottom to my Federalist Letters to Corporate America. Unless we do this or something very similar, we will all spend the rest of our lives fighting for liberty while watching it continually erode. It doesn't have to be this painful and demanding. Following is a sound solution.

CONSERVATIVE ACTION PLAN To Restore the Republic

Since I first drafted this Conservative Action Plan in 2009, we have seen our nation deteriorate on many levels. It appears that our government is on the verge of yet another destabilizing spending binge. Until our ship of state is re-balanced, we will have chronic and irreconcilable conflicts and be nearly as enslaved by an intolerable burden of civic duty as textbook slavery.

BACKGROUND

I am convinced that socialism as defined by Karl Marx was deliberately created to put the genie of individual liberty and sovereignty back into the bottle. The folks who commissioned him to write it may have had noble intentions based on Plato’s “Philosopher King” principle. However, philosophers make lousy leaders and don’t seem to have any compunction about experimenting with the lives, livelihoods and well-being of others to test their high-minded and often deadly theories.

The first incursion of socialism arrived in the U.S. in the form of the Fabian Society from the United Kingdom in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. The second was the Frankfurt School which had evolved from Marxism to Cultural Marxism, which is even more vicious, in the mid 1930’s. From what I’ve read it seems the Soviet Russian incursion began from sometime between the late 1940’s or 50’s. There is no real conspiracy, just like-minded people who see their fellow citizens as herd animals to be harvested at their leisure.

The corruption of our Constitution was accomplished by the progressives inspired by the first wave in the early 1900’s:

1. 16th Amendment allowing a federal income tax which basically made serfs of us all. 2. 17th Amendment transferring the election of the federal Senators from the State Legislatures to the general public, thereby emasculating the States. 3. House Rule limiting the # of Representatives to 435, emasculating the citizenry.

These 3 actions all by themselves destroyed the balance of power between the Federal Government, the States and the People in favor of the Federal government over the course of the next century. This imbalance has now reached critical mass. Unless we correct the Constitutional corruption introduced by progressives, we will remain in a constant and chronic battle with the Federal Government. We cannot rein it in without restoring our Constitution.

STRATEGY TO RESTORE THE REPUBLIC

1. Restructure the House of Representatives to equal either the 1 Representative per 30,000 citizens as stated in the Constitution or to a level at which citizens can successfully run for House seats. a. Split all Congressional districts during each succeeding census, increasing the number of Representatives until the target ratio is met. (I recommend a target of 1 representative for every 100,000 citizens as I believe modern technology can support such a ratio.) b. As the House becomes better populated, more and more Representatives can reside in their districts most of the year and participate in debates and votes electronically from their home offices. They are only required by the Constitution to all meet in Washington D.C. once per year. No time limit is stated. c. Offices in Washington, D. C. can be shared and rotated to allow all Representatives some time in Washington, while spending most of their time in their home offices where they are available to their constituents. The schedule can be determined at the state level. 2. Repeal the 17th Amendment allowing general elections to select State Senators. Restore to the State Legislatures the right of selecting the Senators to hold office in the Federal Senate as this amendment has diminished the sovereignty of the States. 3. Repeal the 16th Amendment allowing the Federal government to tax income. This will reduce federal revenues by about 50% which is fine because about 50% of what the Federal government does is unconstitutional. 4. Dismantle all Federal agencies, bureaus and departments not specifically authorized by the Constitution, delegating those deemed necessary to the States. 5. Where desired by the States, they can assume authority over those federal bureaus, departments and agencies as are hosted within state borders and continue their operation at the individual state discretion.

SUPPORTING LOGIC

Recipe for Tyranny

In 1911 the number of Representatives in the House reached its present size of 435. Two years later, the 16th Amendment granted the Federal Government the right to tax “income” (though the exact definition of “income” remains in some dispute). In 1929 a House Rule limited membership to 435.

These two events created two corresponding statistics, one going up and one going down, that have reached critical mass in their relationship.

The two statistics are:

1. Per capita representation in Congress which is going down. At present, with a population of over 306,000,000 and 435 members of the House of Representatives, we have 1 Representative for every 703,000 people. When the Constitution was written, it stated “The Number of Representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand, but each State shall have at Least one Representative;”

2. Federal revenues from income tax are going steadily up. The liberal desire to “spread the wealth” may have some merit. We currently have, by one revenue chart, as much as 40% of the GDP of our entire nation under the incontestable and un-monitored control of 535 people who are more answerable to campaign contributors and lobbyists than to their constituents.

This is a recipe for tyranny. Whether it results in an oligarchy that engages in socialism, communism or any other ism is immaterial. Losing our right to control our individual and national destiny is a problem that warrants both attention and action.

The Citizen Statesman and Self-Government

The purpose of the lower house, the House of Representatives, is to ensure self-government by the Citizens of the United States of America. The House was to be composed of citizen statesmen, not professional or career politicians. The term is only for 2 years for multiple reasons, to prevent too long of an interruption in the citizen statesman’s career, and also to prevent complacency and self-indulgence to take root.

This body of citizen statesmen is the only arm of the government empowered to introduce new legislation to raise revenues. Yet, President Obama repeatedly demanded such of them, and they complied against the will of the people they represent.

The upper house, the Senate was to be composed of longer term, career statesmen who can provide balance and guidance to the members of the House. Neither the executive branch nor the judicial branch is empowered to introduce new legislation, only Congress. And that lower house was to be composed, not of politicians, but of citizens.

With each Representative representing a constituency of over 700,000, it is nearly impossible for a common citizen to communicate effectively with enough of these people to acquire a majority of votes. Only the independently wealthy are able to run for office. People who need to work fulltime jobs are prohibited by logistics from office.

This is the greatest tragedy and the single greatest reason for the deterioration of our republic to an oligarchy. We must, reduce the ratio of citizens to representatives to a level which will enable an average working citizen to campaign and fund-raise on a part-time basis and be able to win. If it means enlarging the House of Representatives to a full complement of 10,000 members, to the level of 30,000 citizens per representative, then so be it.

Summary

One of the biggest impediments to Constitutional governance is that all Congressmen and women reside in Washington throughout the year where lobbyists, corporate and other special interests and foreign agents have year-round access to them in one place. The citizens have very little access to influence their representatives.

The Constitution of the United States of America was so designed that all laws are to originate with the people, via Congress, not the government. It was designed to prevent the tyranny of an elite minority over the majority, to prevent a cabal from seizing the reins of government. Yet, over the past century, this is exactly what has transpired. Per our Declaration of Independence, it is not only our prerogative to take action, but our duty.

This proposal is submitted to the people of the United States of America for consideration, debate, and comment. It is a starting point; please feel free to add comments and refinements to help us Restore the Republic.

“...Repeal the 17th Amendment...”
-
So, I guess you support an Article V Convention of States,
because the Senate will never-ever propose such a thing.
I’m on board with it.

I see some good ideas in there.

"1. Restructure the House of Representatives to equal either the 1 Representative per 30,000 citizens as stated in the Constitution or to a level at which citizens can successfully run for House seats."

But most of the population leans to the left. And on NPR yesterday, some Democrats were salivating for an Article V convention and wanting it. What if state legislators knew that at a special moment, they could make sure that they could do something for some billionaires and never be bound to the discretion of their voters again? Would every one of them proceed to do the right thing anyway? Or would they latch onto power?

There’s a difference between a con-con (Constitutional Convention) and a CoS (Convention of the States).

We’re so divided, I don’t think the CoS would even work— stalemate.

But we’re no longer a nation of laws, so it all could go sideways in a heartbeat.

I think we missed the exits, we’re lost.

It’s sad but I can’t get the optimism to see beyond or a way out that isn’t nasty.

We are pretty much run by the Brawndo’s and billionaires at this point.

If too few of us have the will to educate younger people around us on government and history and do it without pay, then yes. Things may get rough. Good government depends on a moral and properly educated people.

That’s how the left defeated us. They did it in education, filling young minds with antisocial rot.

After the historic electoral catastrophe of 2020, the only way forward for those Americans who want to reclaim their stolen liberty and freedom is to fully support state-by-state nullification, non-compliance, and secession from the illegitimate, tyrannical DC junta that has criminally usurped the now-defunct USA. The Constitution itself is no longer in force, so any blather about what is or is not allowed by the criminal junta in DC is nonsense. There are secession movements well underway that you can join, such as in Texas and Greater Idaho. We are witnessing something like the fall of the Roman Empire in real time everyday now. This country is breaking up just like the Soviet Union did in the 1990s. It’s an incredible thing to watch.

It is impossible. There is no going back.
I, for one, support what is about to happen in this country.
There is a great lesson in history about to be taught.

But most of the population leans to the left.

Not true at all. Most people identify as center right "moderates" or conservative.

darn right thats the case..he left is a fiction in the USA

The “image’ of the Left as an honest political wing in the USA has been driven by the media.

Since 1984 the control of media outlets has dropped from over 50 different organizations to just 6 today. The product of that consolidation is an ILLUSION of a “powerful Left wing”, a manufactured progressive consensus that has usurped political power it has no business with honestly. “honest” votes for Biden/the Left were 30-35 million. At most.

The problems originate in corrupted, local electoral precincts in deep Blue urban centers. These NEED to be cleaned. Nobody desires the dirty job. Part of “redistricting” projects, BTW, is to create regions and social environments permitting unfettered and unhindered electoral Fraud.

Think parts of cities where Republicans fear to tread. No bipartisan voting observers. If any Republican observers, or even voters show up,they are threatened. This is the beginning process of turning a Red state Purple.

This article provides a glimpse into exactly this process going on in Philadelphia in 2009

https://www.heritage.org/commentary/voter-intimidation-new-black-panther-style

There are more of “us” than “them” A whole lot more

Its all kayfabe. Its what they want you to believe, its what they want you to “feel”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kayfabe

What the left has done, ever since the 1984 Reagan-Mondale blowout - (and Mondale was a “moderate” Democrat!) - is to start electoral fraud programs in the largest states to turn them from Red-to-Purple-to Blue. They realized they had no future otherwise. It started in California and New York.

This last election cycle local Texans managed to turn it around at the precinct level-their RINO Governor not withstanding.

Extreme involvement in your local precincts and making sure paper balloting on ELECTION DAY, with hand counts and recounts in a transparent fashion and setting with open audit trails available to the general public, among other measures-are key.

Its dirty, tough work and initially confrontational with the existing perps. As the above article illustrates, it will be dangerous. But it beats the heck outta the alternatives -which are bearing down like a runaway freight train

The left has focused on corrupting our local electoral process. They focus on the deep urban centers. This process of corruption is very active presently in Georgia, using Atlanta as its base, the last 2 election cycles. This process is seditious.

We the People have no future otherwise. These people INTEND to “rule”

The benefits of this process created the UniParty which is WHY this has been allowed to mature.

For the sake of argument, let's say the naysayers are right; the Left appoints fifty radical delegations, their commissions charge them with repealing the First and Second Amendments, etc. Furthermore, assume that Congress has the same legislatures vote up or down for ratification.

Not good at all, BUT AT LEAST IT IS SELF-GOVERNMENT, which we do not presently have.

The Deep State and Scotus rule America. We'll never find relief in the system that delivered us into tyranny. Federal elections are pointless.

Now, should a COS recommend destructive amendments, they can, like the 18th Amendment be repealed. Not so when it comes to behind the scenes criminality of the Deep State or with Scotus decisions.
