And no, the fact that most women fail the ACFT does not demonstrate that women have no place in the military. We do have a place, just not in the combat fields. Women are perfectly capable of fulfilling support roles.

I agree completely, besides other Army MOS's I was Field Artillery 40+ years ago, a very physically demanding field even for men.

Women soldiers in the 82d have their chute and other clothing or gear weighting up to 120 lbs. A 35 lb pack is or was routine for 12 mile timed road marches.

I don’t see women humping enough weight tosooport themselves in the infantry or SF, even as an officer. In fact just carrying water, rifle and ammo basic load 12-18 miles seems too after a few days if men are sick.... Maybe women could be Airmobile or mech infantry.

Anyone can be a 11B (bullet stopper), but that doesn’t mean women should be. In conflicts forever men have unnecessarily exposed themselves to help women in co.bat whereas they do not for their own buddies in combat.
