I have turned off all of the protection/ad blockers/script blockers/etc. for DuckDuckGo (and FreeRepublic) ONLY. All other sites still have the blockers active.

I cannot track down what the problem is, and I have finally given up trying to track it down, as I have also been using the search engines to see if anyone else has the same problem. I haven't found a single soul that has the same issue, so, I am turning to fellow FReepers to see if anyone else may have any ideas how to get it back up and working.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

It’s working for me.

I’m using Chrome.

I went to duckduckgo.
I then selected images.
I clicked on the camera icon in the search bar.
I was able to upload an image.
And it came back with results.

By the way. A google logo appears to the left of the search bar and the results are identical to what the google site gives.

I’m using Brave with DuckDuckGo and no problem with an image search. I just searched for a recipe for dinner.

Have you tried another browser? Maybe Brave is the problem?

Just type in whatever you are searching for and then click the images link on that search results page.

Works for me. I use Brave and DDG, however I’m on a Linux Ubuntu 18.04 laptop. If you are on Windows good luck if you are trying to do anything on Windows.
Dual boot your laptop and switch to Linux if you want to do anything interesting.

Duckduckgo has been my default search engine for a long time. I just tried an image search. No problem.

I always add the word pictures to my search argument. Such as: Kenny Rogers pictures.

Using crappy search engines doesn’t make you virtuous.

Just makes you lame.

Works fine for me using DuckDuckGo as the search engine in my Chinese phone browser...UC Browser. It would be a real pain if I lost the "Image" option at DDG.

I just installed Brave on my Manjaro Linux and it took a while to figure it out but I see the All , images ,videos , news , maps stuff

Also, you can type in your search argument and hit enter. When the result s are returned there is this line underneath the search argument you typed in:

All Images Videos News Maps Shopping

Click on images and it brings up the pictures.

I had this problem just yesterday when I searched something & clicked on “image” and got nothing.

When this happened, I looked on the very next line (under the line showing “All ... Images .... Videos .... News ... Maps ...Shopping) and you see this:

All, Safe Search & the options for safe search are “strict, moderate, or off”

I switched this to “off” and I had images showing up again. I have always searched with “off” and I don’t know how mine got changed from that, but it was. Check ‘safe search’ & see if this helps you. As soon as I put it on “off”, I had images back.
