BREAKING: Andy Ngo's podcast permanently banned from SoundCloud
PostMillenial ^ | 06/29/2021 | Mia Cathell

SoundCloud has de-platformed journalist Andy Ngo's podcast "on the grounds of being dedicated to violating" the site's rules. However, the latest episode of the podcast was uploaded more than one year ago and there was no option in the notification email for Ngo to appeal or even seek further information.

Ngo's podcast, "Things You Should Ngo," hosted heterodox ideas and stories. Ngo interviewed academics and thinkers from "the Intellectual Dark Web."

Over the weekend, SoundCloud's Trust & Safety Team informed Ngo via email of the permanent ban for "violating" the site's Terms of Use and Community Guidelines, which state that users must not use the platform to create content "that is abusive, libellous, defamatory, pornographic or obscene, that promotes or incites violence, terrorism, illegal acts, or hatred on the grounds of race, ethnicity, cultural identity, religious belief, disability, gender, identity or sexual orientation, or is otherwise objectionable in SoundCloud's reasonable discretion."

SoundCloud's explanation was vague and did not specify an exact reason. When an account is removed for violating SoundCloud's terms, the user's account, tracks, followers, and stats are removed from the platform and cannot be returned.

At this rate, in a few more years, conservatives and even classical liberals will only be able to communicate using smoke signals and carrier pigeons.

Try TELEGRAM instead, Andy.

Folks like Jovan Pulitzer, Vladimir Zelenko, Sidney Powell, Mike Lindell and Patrick Byrne are using that Platform to get their message through. These folks have tens of thousands of followers.

Unfortunately, despite making lots of noise, getting conservatives to pony up money to make alternatives is almost impossible.

Despotism (Encyclopedia Britannica film, circa 1946)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaWSqboZr1w
“A community is low on a ‘Respect’ scale if common courtesy is withheld from large groups of people on account of their political attitudes.”

“...in a downright despotism opposition is dangerous whether the despotism is official or whether it is unofficial...”

“A community rates low on the ‘Information’ scale when the press, radio, and other channels of communication are controlled by only a few people and when citizens have to accept what they are told.”

“See how a community trains its teachers”
“...these students are being taught to accept uncritically whatever they are told. Questions are not encouraged.”

“And if books and newspapers and the radio [and facebook and youtube and...] are officially controlled the people will read and accept exactly what the few in control want them to. Government censorship is one form of control. The newspaper that breaks the government censorship rule can be suspended. It is also possible for newspapers and other lines of communication to be controlled by private interests...”

Democracy (Encyclopedia Britannica film, circa 1946)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx25aMPvbJo

“The newspapers of a real democracy meet these tests...”

Newspaper checks.
1. Balance of coverage
2. Disclosure of source
3. Competence of staff

At every level you’d be deplatformed. No support for cloud or storage services. No support for credit card services. No support for advertisers. Blacklisting of anyone who uses the service, on and on...

What is SoundCloud? I have heard of Andy Ngo, however.

Only if you were dumb enough to host it in the US. There are third party data haven countries that as long as you keep kiddie pr0n, hacking and calls for violence off them, they would be happy to host you. Amusingly, many are in Eastern Europe.

They'd take away your matches, and they'd make sure all pigeons died of the bird flu.

Also, even *before* the current environment, it was all-but impossible to get conservatives to fund what would become social media or video sites. Far too many didn’t see the point and could not be convinced.

It’s kind of an endemic problem with older conservatives. If it wasn’t a tech around in the 1950s, they don’t see the point and don’t want to invest.

The internet was open for decades. This lockdown/shutdown of the free exchange of ideas, reporting, and opinions is entirely new in the digital realm.

We saw it happening in China and Egypt and other places but for it to happen in the USA is a new turn of despotism.

There is Brighteon, Banned.Video and Bitchute as well, plus numerous others. It's time to migrate away from the Deep State and One Worlder platforms.

Streaming service like Apple Music, Spotify and Pandora. If you’re under the age of 30, that’s how you consume content on the go today, through a streaming service. Terrestrial radio is all but dead for these age demos.

Lots of us saw this coming long ago. Unfortunately, nobody wanted to fund alternatives or preventatives.

Newscorp bought Myspace and the massive user base ran away to facebook because of Fox News.

Nevermind that Newscorp execs endorsed John Kerry in 2004.
