The AF PT has always been a joke. While Soldiers, Sailors and Marines were running outdoors in whatever environment they were stationed in the AF was running on treadmills indoors. Now, the AF gets to “choose” what PT “tests” they will agree to participate in. The problem here is, this Pussified Crap rolls downhill. The Left is Bound and Determined to decimate the US Military. They want to turn it into a pale and pathetic Shadow of what it once was. The Left have polluted every single institution of all that made the USA the greatest country on earth. They long ago infiltrated every institution in this country. Their last target of conquest is the US Military. And, they have finally, after many many decades are succeeding.
General Milley is the Poster Boy for their success.

I was thinking v that pilots don’t have to be as in shape as other branches.

Did all of my running while in the USAF (1968-1972) in combat boots 1 1/2miles at a time. But, I agree, we never matched the PT the other services did and we knew who was doing all of the grunt work too. However, in WWII the USAAF 8th Air Force suffered 58,000 casualties. So airmen have done their part, too.

Wow!! The Air Force has really changed... When I went through basic during the 1950’s at Sampson AFB, we had P.T. every morning. Running and double time drills, constant marching, plus running the obstacle course and of course taking apart, cleaning and learning to shoot both the M-1 carbine. We also went on a full pack night 20 mile march.
