Donald Trump talks tough and attacks and demolishes opponents better than any other modern president.
It's a major political asset.
But to capture the middle ground for victory, does he need a softer side as well? (He can do it on his own sometimes but it isn't his signature .... he is a modern Archie Bunker who only really sings with Edith at his side ...... What needs to happen softly in the background for Trump's tough rhetoric to triumph again?
Will he channel the gentle listening Bing Crosby recommended for success. Was this a strength of Mike Pence as running mate in the first term?
Who can help him in that role if he wins a second term?
I am not interested in a softer side. I want scorched earth. But that’s me.
I’m fine with the “mushy middle,” who believe Trump is not presidential, voting for zombie Biden. These people generally care more about etiquette than results.
When they realize their limp-wristed approach to life has screwed them, as well, maybe they will change before they are killed by Antifa.
I’m thinking in terms of George Patton and Vlad The Impaler, personally.

Trump has a very soft side, people use have to look. He has been incredibly generous to people in need. His employees love him. Like all Builders/Contractors he is all crusty and harsh on the outside with a heart of gold on the inside.
Watch him with the Angel Moms, talk to the people who lost someone and gets a surprise call from The President of the United States (remember the father of the black kid who was shot in Seattle?)
Good old Uncle Joe pretends to be soft but the only softness he has is in his head.
I’ll take Trump as he is. Honest , blunt and sometimes like me, crude. Anything else would be phony, like the rest of Washington and the 50 state capitals along with the territories.

My Trump-hating Democrat acquaintances are openly admitting Biden sucks. I don’t even have to say anything - THEY bring it up!
But then they follow it with “..but Trump was far worse”.
They will readily throw Biden, Cuomo - or anyone that embarrasses them - under the bus, but they never admit they made a mistake.
They just start looking for a “better” Democrat.
Just tell them you fully support and agree with Biden that Americans hould have been left behind to be tortured or killed.

It’s not that I’m lacking in evidence, debating skills or snappy come-backs.
It’s a waste of time arguing with these people - no matter how well-armed you are.
