“acceptance of right or wrong is ALWAYS based on someone’s JUDGMENT!”
The Darwin Award is not judgement. It’s Reality.
There is a difference.
A statement of fact is not judgement....
You are proof that Ron White was correct that there are some things you just can’t fix!
Probably sorcery.
If you have to ask, you need to pray on it for an answer within yourself.
.............................................
Are you not able to explain what it is you’re meaning to imply? Sad.
Still says you’re banned or suspended.
I knew it, you’re a sorcerer.
There is good reason that Jesus warned His disciples not to give their pearls (of wisdom) to the swine.
Conditional Forgiveness is not forgiveness.
....................................
Beside the point. The subject of this thread is the innately human act of judgment, and anyone who says they don’t do it is blowing smoke!
Judging will always harm you.
.......................................
WRONG! Failure to judge correctly is responsible for the torture and death of more people throughout history than any other human failure!
What was Jesus doing when he tossed the money changers out of the Temple?
***He was fulfilling the law. Those guys were NOT supposed to be there in the first place and everyone at the temple knew it. That’s why they didn’t bring it up as a charge at His trial.
Scripture is filled with passages describing Jesus and everyone else making judgments.
***Judge not lest ye be judged. Or John 12:47
If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
Who are YOU to be saying that Jesus went against His own precept?
Just to bring you into the real world, the acceptance of right or wrong is ALWAYS based on someone’s JUDGMENT!
***That is GOD’s job, not OURS. The reason you hang onto the option of Judging someone else is because you have a judgemental spirit. And the title of this thread applies to YOU. The church is tired of you judgemental Marta busybodies, Jesus admonished her at the time and eventually you folks will be similary chastised.
“If Jesus wasn’t here to judge, what gives us the idea that it’s okay for US to do it?”
Amen! Amen! Amen!
“Remember, God tends to select His biggest screw ups for His most important work...”
In that case, He must have something BIG for me! :)
Probably the thing that helped was the other friend told him the person who wronged him was 100% wrong.
When you are wronged, often others or the enemy will whisper in our ears that it really wasn’t so bad, that they didn’t really do anything wrong, that we’re taking it to personally, etc.
But inside you know that you are in the right and the other person was wrong and trying to defend yourself in your own mind is a losing battle.
I find it is often very helpful when someone else acknowledges it and lets you know it’s not just your imagination, you aren’t reading the situation wrong, you’re not being overly sensitive.
“The issue here is “not letting go” as stated above.”
Right, PeterPrinciple. That’s the main message in the article.
“If it ever happens I am sure I will.”
I didn’t know God was a Freeper! ;)
“Rebuildus, did you read humblegunners post? I mean he nails it...”
BipolarBob, are YOU humblebummer? I mean, I’ve never seen the two of you together, come to think of it! :)
“Yes. And he is correct.
The sin of Judgment is a very difficult one to overcome.
I am still working on it.”
Tell me about it, sauropod. Or so it has seemed. But I do know the shortcut to overcoming it is to admit we’re wrong.
“It takes a long time to “adjust” that attitude and for me personally, it’s an ongoing struggle. I try to always remember, Judge not lest ye be judged.”
Understand, LastDays. And you’re right, that last sentence says it all.
Judging something as a sin is not the issue.
It’s a matter of not forgiving and letting it turn into bitterness resentment, and anger that is the problem.
One cannot really forgive unless and until it has been determined that a sin has been committed against one. That requires the action to be compared to a standard and determined if it didn’t meet that standard.
So it’s not the recognition of the sin that’s a problem. It condemning the person in your heart.
Thank you, Manly Warrior
A statement of fact is not judgement....
.......................................
I haven’t implied that a statement of fact is a judgment, so why are you telling me this?
