Now they are worried when conservatives want to peacefully protest people being held in jail for months without being able to see a judge (what happened to “speedy trial”). And charged with stupid, inane charges like “trespass” or “parading” and Pelosi wants to make those things felonies?
Our Reps have done nothing to help and THE PEOPLE are fed up. They want to protest and the authorities are “worried”? While BLM and ANTIFA riot, loot and kill and not a person sits in jail who committed those atrocities.
Corruption abounds in our capitol. They should all be embarrassed.
That was my point exactly. It has already happened IMO, and a good number, if not the majority of those people in prison are there for political reasons alone.
Not everyone in prison due to 1/6/2021 is innocent of charges. But there is a website that has a table of all the defendants to date, what the charges against them are, and what the disposition of the case is, and no thinking person can view that table and not compare it to the absolute mayhem, violence, and destruction that has been going on by the Leftists and totally unpunished for several years now, and realize that the law is being applied unequally, disproportionally, and politically.
They want to make an example of those people. They want to apply the legal force of the government so fully as to crush these individual citizens.
This is what the Soviet Communists would do. This is what the Chinese Communists would do. This is what the Cuban Communists would do. Not America. At least not up until now, and it makes me hopping mad.
Just to be clear-I don’t have the slightest problem if someone has the opinion that it is dangerous, risky, fertile ground for being set up, all that, because it is true. Anyone who DOESN’T think it is dangerous or risky isn’t worth listening to, especially if their ass isn’t going to be put on the line.
I have an issue with impugning those who go where there is danger, accept that risk, or navigate that fertile soil where someone or something may set them up.
We should be grateful and admire those people, not tear them down, because if anyone is going to stop this slide towards tyranny, it isn’t going to be those of us at home on our computers or watching television, and it sure as hell won’t be uninhibited politicians who don’t see that the citizenry has an issue with their craven behavior.
