I actually think what we need is a Depression — and a big one. It will be very unpleasant for most people, but will also serve to wring the foolishness out of Society and focus people back on what really matters (spoiler alert: it’s not social media or LBGT).

"I have a migraine today, no way I can read all this."You'll find no relief for your headache here.
It is, I believe, an important essay at an important point in time. Not unlike Michael Anton's Flight 93 essay.
I hope you read it when you're on the mend.

A war college type gamed out Civil War II a couple of years ago and he had Texas expandjng to Commifornia and the East Coast. Unlimited fuel - check. Sufficient in food - check. Enough air and army and national guard resources - check. Deep water port - check. Manufacturing base - check.

"I don’t believe there will be a civil war."I was all ready to man the barricades, but now I'm not so sure.
I just put a deposit down on a new iPhone 13 and will probably just chill and watch Hulu.

The dire warnings of "domestic [right-wing] extremism" and "white supremacy" increased towards the end of of a summer of 98% LEFT-WING violence and extremism.
Right on cue, we had January 6th, the mostly-peaceful rally that ended with a disturbance perpetrated by a tiny fraction of the crowd that attended the rally. More and more, it looks look there was FBI involvement in triggering the violence of that day, and - at the very least - it looks like federal law enforcement had advance warning of potential trouble and failed to provide adequate security.
Since then, federal officials have repeatedly characterized the January 6th rally not as a protest of alleged 2020 election fraud, but as in instance of "white rage" and "white-supremacy," building on the gaslighting narrative that was begun a few months earlier.
Since then everything the Biden administration has done - from open borders, to CRT, to vaccine mandates, to government-approved censorship, to the upcoming mandates supposedly necessitated by "climate change" - seems DELIBERATELY intended to increase division and raise tensions. Crazy analogies and wild exaggerations - saying that January 6th was worse than 9-11, that voter ID is the new Jim Crow, that a border agent on a horse is worse than slavery - are now the norm. Any opposition is being characterized as "white supremacy" and any opposition is characterized as "extremism."
I can only shudder at the direction we are headed. Left-wing fascism is upon us.

Wars are fought by the young who are united behind a common purpose with a burning passion.
Just look around.
As T.S. Eliot wrote, it will end with a whimper, not a bang.

CW II has already been started. It is a 4GW type of warfare.
You don’t even notice it.
Even if you do, you are unlikely to take action to oppose it.
For example see what covid -19 has done to society. That is War.
Read Sun Tzu.

Where was he advocating for violence? All I saw on his post is commentary on the lack of will by the right to fight.

Preservation of the guarantees and liberties provided in the original Constitution may necessitate separation from the Washington regime. Our government is a contract, not a city.
You could say this is a political and legal framework—as an entity in and of itself, asserting itself against the parties who, deliberately or not, are effecting to destroy it. Those parties are undermining it’s sovereignty abroad while denying particular constitutional protections to its citizens at the same time they extend novel privileges to other citizens and non-citizens.
This legal framework is an abstraction, the embodiment of law and lore transcending any ethnic background of its citizens and unlimited to any geographic location within its recognized national boundary. The people who now occupy it are erasing it.
Could such an abstraction rise up, rally its adherents to its defense and defeat an unprincipled and corrupt enemy? It seems it wouldn’t be the first time such a thing has happened.

“The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.” - W.B. Yeats, writing in the early 20s as he observed the rise of Bolshevism and fascism. We know how it turned out.

What's your definition of a "civil war". Infantry, armored vehicles blasting away at each other - artillery barrages, air strikes? No, what I am seeing is a steady deterioration into balkanization where the assorted demographics are seeking out and merging with like minded individuals, establishing their own order outside of what belligerent local, state or federal governments may be demanding. There's already been a breaking, "civil war" has already been in progress, just without the bullets. The ball is in the court of the statists, be interesting to see how far they're willing to push the envelope on the unrest they've been fomenting.

They didn’t get the Memo.
Only The Emperor with no Brain Joseph Stolen can ignore Supreme Court Rulings without any pushback.
If I’m not mistaken he has already ignored two SCOTUS Rulings and he has only been in Office for eight Months.
The Republic is dead, long live the Republic.

One of the more thoughtful essays I've seen lately. Not directed at you, but not one consideration given toward the most accurate book on how it all ends ever written did I see:

Me thinks you read something into his Post other than what he actually said. Give it a second look.
Hair trigger Posting is not that uncommon here and I admittedly have done more than my “fair share” over the years. No, this isn’t one of those times. #;^)
