The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) published a ridiculous Halloween costume guide that urges parents to avoid costumes “that perpetuate gender norms.”

“Halloween is a week away and you and your family might be brainstorming costume ideas,” the ADL tweeted on Sunday. “Check out our resource for reminders about how and why to avoid cultural appropriation, cultural stereotypes, and costumes that perpetuate gender norms.”

The ADL is perpetuating a stereotype.
OK, I’ll dress up like “Admiral Levine”, that should meet with the ADL’s approval.
Message: Do not perpetuate Norms. Always be Abnormal. We all need to always be as abnormal as possible. All the time.
The Hebrew Bible is full of gender norms. Does the ADL want to ban people from reading the Bible?
Does that mean costumes with their d__k hanging out are unacceptable? What is this world coming to.
What does this have to do with anti-semitism? The ADL has certainly lost their way.

Sexual appropriation = Good

I thought the ADL was founded to protect Jews from defamation. When did they become the gate keepers against “cultural appropriation”? Would appear they are desperate to remain relevant.
I was thinking the same thing. Is anti-semitism so infrequent in the US that they have to invent new ways to stay relevant? Or are they afraid of attacking the real anti-semites in the US, especially the ones imported during 0's misadministration?

Please stop calling them “liberals.” They are NOT liberals. Our nation’s founders were liberals. They believed 8n individual liberty, limited government, free markets and Constitutional law.
Leftist/Marxist commie/fascists believe the opposite of those things. If you don’t want to use those terms, then at least call them “progressives,” because they are, in fact progressive — like metastasizing cancers.
We need to take back our language if we are going to fight them.
Well, I remember some years back, a girl at a local high school showed up on Halloween as a Playboy bunny and got sent home because her outfit (complete with fishnet hose) was deemed inappropriate.
We’re becoming a nation of neurotics.
I was a sorcerer for Halloween once when I was a kid (male, in the sixties). Everyone though I was a witch. I’ve hated everyone ever since.
Notice how the left is really obsessed with national customs and holidays? They are in a state of heightened anxiety every year beginning in October. Columbus Day annoys them. Halloween really gets on their nerves. Thanksgiving gets their knickers in a wad with all that talk of “giving thanks (to God)”. But nothing matches the pure vitriolic hatred they have for Christmas.
They were willing to import a deadly virus and have it kill people just so they could use it as an excuse to cancel The Hated Holidays.
I have bumper stickers for each of these holidays. They are on my car and I enjoy watching liberal worms twist their noses in a snit when they see them.
