So much for Biden’s claim that his signature Build Back Better legislation won’t cost a cent. The Congressional Budget Office scored the bill and showed an increase in the Federal deficit of $791,618 MILLION over the next five years. Here is the CBO’s spreadsheet.
From The Wall Street Journal: “The sprawling bill calls for creating a universal prekindergarten program, capping child-care costs for many families, negotiating lower prescription drug prices and expanding tax credits for reducing carbon emissions, among other programs. In addition to expanding tax enforcement efforts at the Internal Revenue Service, the legislation raises taxes on some corporations and very high-income Americans.”
The Tax Foundation estimates that the Political Pinata Bill will reduce jobs by 107,000 and decrease GDP by 0.38% and decrease wages by 0.27%.
And taxes galore! The proposals would increase the after-tax income of the bottom quintile by about 15.2 percent in 2022 on a conventional basis, which is largely driven by the expanded child tax credit (CTC). The top 1 percent of earners would experience a 0.8 percent increase in after-tax income in 2022 due to a more generous SALT (State and Local Tax) deduction.
And so on and so forth. This Killer B has a sting that will hurt.
Among the oddities in this pinata is a provision found on page 1,647. The provision would end the requirement of a Social Security number in order to get child tax credits. As a result, billions of dollars could be potentially distributed to undocumented immigrants who claim a child tax credit under the new provision.
I am very much pro immigration, but LEGAL immigration where you receive a Social Security number. Not this monstrosity.

This legislation empowers the bureaucracy to spend as they see fit, without congressional authority, so the tab is going to be much larger and more intrusive into our lives than anyone can imagine.
So is it million or billion? I think I read billion elsewhere - the writer didn’t proofread very well.
Build Back Better. Democrats want you to think that will benefit the ordinary citizen. Nope. It means Grab More Power.
WWI cost $4 billion ; the Dems have already spent $6 trillion, with this bill add (rounding up) $12 trillion.
CBO score was before Pelousi added $2 trillion 20 minutes before calling for vote. What that adds to the deficit is your guess. But illegals will get their $450,000 each and the cows will be taxed.
Lots of possible names for this bill, but Build Back Better is not one of them. First of all, there was no need to build BACK; there was already a better plan in place before Biden was ever elected. They elected to tear that down & start over with something much, much worse...just because it was different than the workable plan Mr. Trump had started. This plan they have now is so much worse that even the most disinterested person can see through it. The only way something like this could possibly be passed is by completing misrepresenting it & any sensible person can see through that, too. Of course, I suppose if the Democrat plan for our school kids continues, it will come to the point that people will NOT see through this plan for our nation. The people pushing this fantasy plan for the U.S. need to be taken out & horsewhipped.
The CBO has a 50% prediction rate meaning a monkey could do the job of these overpaid bureaucrats!
