No one uses that expression in Iran any more.
I wonder if they looked tic-tac-shaped?
Dry run for the real attack?
Hey there. If you are going to post here, make sure you post the entire article. You do not want to be a blog pimp here.
Trust me.
Somebody shot them down, no?

You’d do well to heed that advice.
Looks like the Imans will have to spend some of the Obama bucks on upgrading to Russian S-400 missile systems.
im guessing the “radar signatire” of the uav was smaller in size th a n what thr air defense system were designed :”to see”.
a ‘softball’, yes a “ping pong ball”, no.
That doesn’t explain the explosion that started the story.
NEWSRAEL: It is further reported that the failure of its air defense system at Natanz has got Iran in a fit and heads are about to roll...Mossad has used drones to drop bombs to waiting scientists and installation people to be placed where they will so the most damage. Also they have made use of bombs built into the plant construction materials.Updated Iranian sources revealed that unmanned aerial vehicles penetrated Iran's airspace because air defense systems were unable to shoot them down.
According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas, more than five reconnaissance UAVs penetrated Iranian airspace, and the Iranian missile system "Bavar 373" and the Russian S-300 missile system failed to shoot them down.
The paper added that the drones were on a mission to spy and patrol the area of the nuclear facility at Natanz and the surrounding military sites.
The UAVs that were on a spy mission continued to fly over the Natanz facility did so for more than 40 minutes, without one of them being shot down.
Sources also revealed that after the failure of the Iranian air defense systems in the downing of the drones, the Air Force of the Revolutionary Guards used blocking systems in the skies of Natanz, as a result of which the communications and internet were cut off in large areas in the area.
Sources noted that the failure of the anti-aircraft system - the "S-300" to intercept the drones is due to the fact that Russia did not hand over all parts of the system to Iran.
The report is due to a controversy over what happened behind the explosion that took place yesterday in the city of Natanz in Asfahan in central Iran.
Ping
So was the explosion reported at Natanz due to sabotage on the ground or a drone attack. Or is the point of this to keep them guessing?
Yes it does:
It confirms that SAMs were launched and, since they couldn’t hit their targets, self-destructed in flight as designed.

I don’t know, but since the story does not say then they may have dropped bombs of just set off prepositioned charges. It does not seem likely that drones on a scouting and intel mission would also be used to drop bombs that magically exploded inside the buildings.
Since its not a good idea to link debkafile here, search for this headline “A 1,000-strong Mossad team plus 10 ‘dissident’ Iranian scientists ran 11-month sabotage of Iranian nuclear site”. Numerous sources reporting same story.
Results of the July 5th attack on the Natanz facility. Note the metal roofing material showing the shockwave from the explosion. Looks like a laser-guided bomb targeting a very specific spot in the building.
Some of the explosives they used were dropped into the compound by a drone and quietly collected by the scientists, while others were smuggled into the high security facility hidden in boxes of food on a catering lorry. The ensuing destruction caused chaos in the highest echelons of the Iranian leadership. It demolished 90 per cent of the centrifuges at the nuclear plant, delaying progress towards a bomb and putting the key complex out of action for up to nine months.https://www.thejc.com/news/world/exclusive-mossad-recruited-top-iranian-scientists-to-blow-up-key-nuclear-facility-1.523163
