If you know any students taking state exams this month, this blog, which is maintained by a NYC math teacher with two decades of experience, contains many, many previous exam questions, answers, and explanations of how to find these answers.
It's mostly New York Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2/Trigonometry, but there are some Texas exams on the site.

If anyone need help with high school math, I check into FR on a daily basis, time permitting.

I’m 78...They had books for us with old exams and answers. If you didn’t pass...you were really dumb or too lazy to use these practice books.

“Where do I sine up?”
You’ll also need a cosiner.
Oh, there’ll be an additional answer on tests; “I don’t know nuffin.” It’ll count as a correct answer.

Y’all are coming from the wrong angle on this.
And now you’ve gone off on a tangent.
I hate to be his protractor but he may start feeling isosceles.

South Jersey here. I’m a retired middle school science and sometime geography, social studies teacher. During the lock down I spent the class day next to her helping her over the difficult bits. Geometry was not our friend.

Are you purposely trying to take this thread on a different tangent?

“It’s mostly New York Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2/Trigonometry, ... “
Is New York Algebra etc different from other versions?
I’ve always wondered how math could be racist ...

8th grade for me was 1957..and the books were AMSCO. I think Barron’s were later.
To: Tanniker Smith
Well, there are constants and variables with these test. Some with absolute values

I was only a year behind you and do not remember that name at all for NY Regents exams. Perhaps Barron’s books is the wrong name.

They were yellow...I think the Barron’s were red and white. I went to a Catholic School. Maybe that’s the difference. No matter. The books were most helpful.
