I think Philip Freier is a good Man Of God but the demonization of men in Australia is so bad and the persecution of priests so shameless (George Pell's conviction and 400 day plus imprisonment is the tip of an iceberg. The only thing proved beyond reasoanble doubt in Pell's case is that he did indeed conduct a mass.) that the Archbishop must speak out against these evils.
What are the chances?
He is the first Cleric I know of to make a public issue about these concerns. Good. The topics need to be discussed openly.
