The Blue horizontal lines are parallel
While I can prove this very easily
My lying eyes keep telling me otherwise.

I have seen a lot of stuff over the years that I can prove is not how it is seems.
The trend seems to be accelerating exponentially.
I don't watch TV or any other tubes, I am pretty sure a lot of optical and auditory illusions happen there too.

Or tilt and look down the blue lines. An intriguing illusion, though.

Indeed, if you close one eye and look, focus , just off one corner, they align. Old Army night vision trick, looking away from the subject of interest, and focused vision at the fovea allows peripheral vision, everywhere else to see in black/ white mode which is supposed to be more detailed than color which is primarily centered around the fovea....or something like that.

They are equidistant but sure don’t appear to be, and squinting does square them up. Very tricky illusion.

Turn your screen 90 degrees so they are horizontal and they are the parallel.
At least to my tequila eyes.

Yes, squinting works. If you look closely at the detail within the blue bars and white columns you will see very subtle differences in orientation. Apparently that subtle difference is what screws us up. When you squirt you blur that difference away.
Very clever.
