“Pride night” at Nationals Park also exceeded average attendance, but it was despite not because of the gay event.

Both parks ran these events as pre-game ceremonies before very few spectators, which is normal (although I was in one at Nationals Park, and it was timed much closer to the first pitch and had far more seated fans than the pride crap at DC and LA).
