Reminds me of the caning of American teenager Michael Fay who was arrested for stealing road signs and vandalizing 18 cars over a ten-day period in September 1993. He was sentenced to six strokes of the cane, but it was reduced to four after Clinton got involved in the matter.

No… it was the SAME thing as when a child says they’re sorry when they get CAUGHT doing something wrong - they are just trying to avoid punishment for it; they aren’t sorry for DOING it/ they’re sorry that they got CAUGHT.

Sue the police, the judge, the city, everyone. We pay our taxes to support a system that is supposed to enable civilization - including the enforcement of EXISTING laws. If they refuse to do so they’re in dereliction of duty and should face consequences.
