Ceiling fans are popular because either: (a)people can’t afford to put in air conditioning, or (b) they want to use them instead of turning on the A/C.

These aren't the only reasons: how about because people want to improve distribution of air conditioned air in specific locations. And how about better circulation to avoid turning the a/c to a lower temperature?

Note, new government regulation...all shoe laces must be
tied in a knot at all times. People wearing loafers or
slip on foot ware must present a shoelace when questioned
by the officials, however it need’nt be knotted until at
such time as it is installed correctly in said foot ware.

I was expecting to have to flush twice with my toilets. But they are a strong flush even though it saves water. I was surprised.

Maybe you have a well designed toilet. The ones I've seen and have aren't very good of getting rid of big jobs. Extra chemicals and plastic brushes are required to cleanse the bowl..
