I don’t think it’s necessarily starvation.
You will walk into a grocery store and find that fresh fruit is triple of what you pay now, and you start to lessen your cart.
Same for beef, pork and chicken....once it hits a certain price....you will select less for each day.
The idea is to convince you to consume less, until you notice there’s no more ‘less’ left.
