What's also amazing is how they're using language from the Bible, and it literally matches, TO THE WORD, that which was prophesied nearly 2,000 years ago.

I once had to interface health data with WebMD for a joint project (their I/T guys were wonderful to work with, BTW).

However, I refused to send them client data (on DVD) until they at least got basic encryption (just in case a FedEx, UPS, USPS shipment got lost or stolen). Can’t remember what I used but I think I went with FedEx because of their excellent tracking system.

Anyways, they complied; bought a license. Sent me their public encryption key. I encrypted all of the patient’s data, downloaded to DVD and our testing had begun).

Once we were satisfied with the test results, we began regular data transmission to them. The data, as before, was encrypted after extraction, transmitted, then they would use their private encryption key to decrypt the data.

Ah, the good old days......

At the time I was using an AS/400 iSeries platform for development. Most of that work was done in RPG/Free or RPG/400 (basically RPG III).

I also solved our transmission timing problems (using one weird trick! LOL). I worked with another guy and I said “THIS is how we solve it - piece of cake).
