Because DEWs can be directed and can kill people instantly. Are you thinking that directed energy weapons are a conspiracy theory? We have had these weapons for years. Its not a secret.

Knowing that, it’s no problem at all claiming DEWs were the cause of the fires.

Especially when there were videos posted by Lahaina residents of the power lines/poles being blown down and starting the brush fires.

There is also a video of an explosion. Which kooks attribute to malicious activity when it is really just a transformer blowing up. Which happens all the time in power outages caused by wind storms. These fires were caused by a combination of common factors. High winds, poorly maintained infrastructure, fields full of dry grass and brush, human incompetence/error of water rationing, old wooden houses built very close together, lack of fire fighters.

I don't subscribe to the "they did it with DEW" theory, myself, but your reasoning is faulty. First, the DEWs do exist, and second, one doesn't develop things like this just to do simple things. One develops these things for much bigger purposes, like warfare, but then once one has successfully built it, then it can be used for whatever one wants. Just because it was used in a particular way, doesn't mean it was built just for that one purpose.
