Maui Day After Fire Drone Footage
You Tube ^ | 8/10/23 | You Tube

Posted on 08/23/2023 5:27:55 PM PDT by left that other site

This is the longest and most detailed drone footage I have seen of the fire devastation.

The song is a Maui song that the High School Seniors sing upon graduating.

Be sure and read the comments.

Thank you.

Reminds me of Biden’s kitchen fire 20 years ago.

That’s why you’re not supposed to cook meth in the kitchen. You should be using the wide open space of the backyard to disperse the fumes.

It shows how fickle fires can be: Utter damage, just piles of ash; and eight feet away a building is untouched, without so much as a smudge.

I’ve been watching Hawaii Real Estate YouTube channel since the fire.
He seems sincere & has been doing a good job showing actual conditions on the ground.

Tulsi’s been there too. I think she’d really love to go off on Joe’s response, but can’t because she’s still a Reservist.

Yes. He was the one who shared the on site pictures of the fire as it roared down Front Street. When other news outlets were blocked, he has been getting his videos out.

I saw her interview with Glen Beck & she did another video with a pro surfer that was organizing some relief which was very good.

Watch this drone video - you can sort of understand why when you see how the flame front moves, it’s not a straight line but more like ripples. The flames follow the fuel, and occasionally embers alight in something flammable which flares up and starts a new front or burns out without joining the fire because there’s nothing downwind to set alight. I’ve seen grass fires do the same thing when the wind is gusty, little unburnt patches left behind because a wind shift made a backburn that shielded a little patch.

I remember back in 90’s in an affluent neighborhood in SoCal south of Oceanside, there was a big fire that went from house to house burning down entire neighborhoods because the houses had old wooden shake roofs that were all dried out. The slightest ember would get them burning. There was no stopping the fire from spreading. Really tragic, just like this one. Probably happened on a dry windy day too.

Yes. I agree that wooden roofs spread a fire.
But, blocking the evacuation routes so people couldn’t escape, turning off the water so they couldn’t fight the fire, and leaving on the electricity to downed wires were caused by alleged HUMANS. (These are documented facts, not conspiracy theories)

They need to be held accountable.

That’s the random thing about fires: A fire can be blazing hot and furious yet mere feet away a combustible structure is not affected. Fires create their own winds; and that, perhaps, is the most fickle thing about them. All the more reason that fires should never be taken lightly.

And, in the Maui conflagration, either the authorities didn’t think the fires were that dangerous, or the authorities were terribly inept.

Tragic, any way one looks at it.

I remember that, as well.

I grew up in Southern California, and fires were an annual thing: Hot, dry conditions, and wind magnifies it exponentially.

I agree 100%. Not just on this but where every person in a position of authority has intentionally obstructed justice or committed a crime (AG and FBI director are good examples) should be held accountable for their many crimes against the people.
