The Meloni government is going to allow 452,000 new legal immigrants into Italy over the next three years.
And they would like 833,000, but legislation does not (yet) exist to authorize that.
The website is sure to mention that Meloni herself signed the decree and wishes to “promote legal immigration” to Italy.
The web page also mentions that a further 40,000 seasonal workers will be admitted each year.
These ‘seasonal’ workers never leave and quickly become members of Italy’s 700,000 illegal immigrants (www.pewresearch.org/global/fact-sheet/unauthorized-immigrants-in-italy/), known as the Clandestini.
Combine these numbers with the 106,000 illegal arrivals by sea this year (www.interno.gov.it/sites/default/files/2023-08/cruscotto_statistico_giornaliero_24-08-2023.pdf), and a liberal family reunification policy, and it is evident that Meloni is prepared to allow millions of non-White people to settle in Italy under her watch.
Meloni appears to be “controlled opposition.”
Her fiery words got conservatives excited about someone fresh and new who would defend their interests, the nation, tradition, etc...
But once in office, she hardly governed as such.
The deep-state uses the same tactic here. It gives the illusion of choice, allows everyone to feel they have some representation, and when they “lose elections” well, that’s just “democracy.”
I have my suspicions that Vivek Ramaswamy could be exactly such a character here.
Stockholm syndrome. Just look at many of the “conservatives” here that live in bright blue states. Many times, they are hard to tell apart from their captors in their home state. She’s the same way.
Meloni has one of the highest approval ratings in the democratic world, and her party is solidly in first place in polls of voter intentions.
