As someone, who holds a M.Sc. in Animal Biology, colour me skeptical.

I’d need to see the actual data before I’d take this article any more seriously than the kid in the playground, who swears up and down that the second cousin of his mother’s hairdresser’s lawyer owns a “Cabbit”. :P

(all those “Cabbit” videos invariably turn out to be tailless cat breeds)

Jackalopes have been around for a long time, though. I’ve seen pictures on postcards, and even a stuffed jackalope head once.

We have three Long Haired Chihuahuas. In order they are 6 lbs, 5 lbs and 3 1/2 lbs.

The littlest one we call Cujo and Jeykl. She will be sitting next to you on the couch and loving the fact that you are petting her one second and then try to bite you the next second.

"Have you sustained any casualties?"
"Yeah, as a matter of fact, the whole platoon's wiped out, man."

Yeah, and one of the first times I visited the Arkansas Ozarks, I met this old feller with about three, chaw-stained teeth left in his head outside the grocery store in Mt. Ida, who started swearing up and down, in his drawl thick enough to spread on toast, that he owned and bred genuine ‘talking’ dogs.

He... almost... convinced me.

That is one weird looking animal. Check out the ears. Are you sure it’s not part bat?

It’s said the Russians have, over the course of generations, domesticated foxes. People who are tired of dogs and cats, dogs and cats, dogs and cats, might like a pet fox.

I’d wait another century or two, until the wildness and wilyness is even more bred out of them.

where the heck did they get “xim” from? Shouldn’t it be a Dox? or a Fog?

Glad you didn’t fall for it. I think it was W.C. Fields who sold a talking dog in one of his movies. After the transaction, the dog was so offended at the betrayal that it swore never to speak again.

My wife and I drove across Arkansas a few months back, but farther north on I-40. A few years ago we were considering retiring to western AR, maybe somewhere between Mena and Fort Smith, but ended up staying in Arizona. Nice country in the Ozarks, though, from everything I’ve seen.
