Ukraine Grain Is Owned by Vanguard, Goldman Sachs, Pension Funds and More
Daily News from Aolf ^ | 10/12/23 | Jimmy Dore

Posted on 10/15/2023 11:00:28 AM PDT by Roman_War_Criminal

Here, Vanguard, et al are doing for real what Stalin and the USSR were accused of doing. Except it is all of Ukraine that is being “liquidated” – physically, and before the eyes of the world.

When people talk about “Ukrainian grain” they’re actually talking about grain that is now owned by US and EU mega-corporations such as Vanguard Group, Kopernik Global Investors, BNP Asset Management Holding, Goldman Sachs-owned NN Investment Partners Holdings, and Norges Bank Investment Management, which manages Norway’s sovereign wealth fund.

Several large US pension funds, foundations, and university endowments are also invested in Ukrainian land through NCH Capital – a US-based private equity fund, which is the fifth largest landholder in the country.

How is the takeover of agricultural land happening?

Whereas at least 4.3 million hectares are (as of March of last year) already controlled by agribusinesses in Ukraine, a law passed in March 2020 lifted the country’s 19-year moratorium on sales of agricultural land, allowing such transactions since July 2021.

I will add a “good grief” to your comment.
Regardless of who “owns” the goods/land/resources/output someone out there is going to say it is Panic-porn-hair-on-fire-time.
And that a free market has to be under government control. Which is an oxymoron.

So what???

I'll tell you, "so what." My tax dollars in the form of billions (many billions) are going to support a country that claims with their lies that the blockade of the grain deal is starving black babies in Africa!

Hundreds of thousands of Ukes and Ruskies are losing their lives, and for weeks, all we heard was the starving babies.

It's called "the narrative" and is used to brainwash the masses into believing that Ruskies are bad and Ukes are good to further their own pocketbooks.

May I suggest you read Sol Alinsky's Rules for Radicals? He explains all the techniques used to move the masses -- and those techniques work on most.

You see.

Some references, because "capitalism" does not mean using public monies for private benefit. That is cronyism.

Syngenta - The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine

"Dmitry Skornyakov, CEO of HarvEast, one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural companies, said: 'We had a big contract with Syngenta ... and Syngenta just stopped supplying Ukraine. We had a pre-paid contract, we paid them and they just did not supply.' 'According to my information, they still supply Russians, why [do] they do this? It’s very strange,' he said. A spokesperson for Syngenta said it continues to supply Ukraine, and does so at high risk and without expecting to make a profit. 'The goods we ship are no longer insured against losses,' the spokesperson said."

Bill Gates says 'the scariest thing of all' is Ukraine war because it is a 'distraction' from climate change

"In 2020, Zelenskyy gave in to the IMF's demands and finally repealed the moratorium. 'Agribusiness interests and oligarchs will be the primary beneficiaries of such reform,' said Olena Borodina of the Ukrainian Rural Development Network. 'This will only further marginalise smallholder farmers and risks severing them from their most valuable resource.' But the World Bank could barely contain its excitement, gushing: 'This is, without exaggeration, a historic event.'

The point is that Ukraine is being carved into chunks, Putin taking some, and a lot of Western players taking other chunks with the approval (or at least acquiescence) of Zelensky, as profiteering goes on through many means, large and small.

Lots of players, and at many levels. The "little guy," be he Ukrainian, Russian or American, is losing throughout. And the inverse is also true. The "big guys," Ukrainians, Russians, Americans -- and now we add from above -- Norwegians (recalling that Stoltenberg was prime minister of Norway) and others in Europeans, as well as the cottage industry of monetizing "content" which is promoted daily, all come down to money. Few clean hands in this mess.

This is likely why so many dearly want there to be a "white hat" in this "historic event," in the World Bank's parlance. It seems there really isn't.

As observed and documented: "The whole Ukraine goes for sale - massive profit opportunities being created by the war." Modern Diplomacy (EU). Another of their articles is also informative:

The real issue is not about Ukraine – it is NATO and Russia

Monsanto again?
Sounds like somebody doesn’t heed the lesson from 2,3,7,8-tetrachlordibenzo-p-dioxan.

Well...as long as I don’t get my 401-K retirement payments in bags of grain.

Of course, there may come a time I would prefer that.

Remember "Better Living Through Chemistry?" Started with DuPont almost 90 years ago. Now we have "safe and effective." So much marketing.

Necessary to overcome our skepticism and refusal to un-learn hard experience. DuPont to Dow Chemical to Monsanto's participation to many persistent chemicals. But as long as there is a short-term profit....

Ukraine is entirely a cuckold state.

Between their debt which is massive, Blackrock which essentially runs them at the top level, us hand choosing who rises to power there...

Behind the scenes we own them.

So somehow this justifies Moscow invading Ukraine?

Maybe to replace the western oligarchs you hate with Muskovite boyars?
