Given the worthlessness of American reportage/legacy media, I have been watching Firstpost/Vantage out of India. The reportage is sharp and on point and about as objective as one might hope for. For example, they consider Hamas a terrorist organization but do express sympathy for the Gazan population caught up in the fighting. One of their reporters commented , “Hamas considers the Gazan population human shields, the Israelis consider them collateral damage”.
I live in Israel and the news coverage here is pathetic. I have to go on whatsapp groups to try and find tangible info.
I actually have to follow a lebanese independent reporter on twitter to get some info on the northern border.
The Israeli media has nothing but stories about “hero dog saved 50 members of kibbutz” and “How much does this war contribute to climate change?” stupidity.
I’m pretty sure we have a gag order on real-time news reporting here right now

I prefer to cast the Israelis’ characterization of Gazan civilians as self-inflicted wounds, or suicide.
The remedy for casualties among the innocent bystanders (I am being generous) is for the denizen Gazans who have a clue to have taken known Hamas butchers living among them and strung them up before they could bring hell down onto them.
We sometimes cast them as innocent; but they are responsible to their families to have been pro-active. Instead, they actually worship Hamas butchers as heroes. Screw ‘em (even though it is hard to say that re: children).
