Abu Mazen is a figurehead. “Unity” would mean that Hamas would be in charge of the West Bank too. But I don’t think the remnants of the PLO (or the Israelis) would let that just happen.
One day there will be no Muslims. It is a belief system that has a self-inflicted malignancy. It cannot constrain violence. The ascendancy of Islam was by war, killing, and looting. The Islamic world today is sustained, and provided for by The Christian West. And the Christian West is rooted in, and sustained by Torah Judaism. Period.
We all need to repent: Christian, Muslim, and Jew. But the Muslim, in order to repent, must forsake Islam itself. It is only Truth that will set us free. There is no other way.
That is a nice thought but not realistic.
Abu Mazen goes by a much more historic and consequential name, Mahmoud Abbas. Abbas was Arafat’s banker. Along with the ‘leaders’ of Hamas, the PLO has billions of dollars they will never use ‘for their people.’
Israel should scrape every bit of Gaza, above and underground, and then vet anyone wanting back in.

Israel is a western nation and that is one of the reasons why Israel is hated so much. Western nations offer prosperity for everyone. Islam hates prosperity because like all theocracies the goal is to keep its followers uneducated and subservient and following their religious doctrine.
