BREAKING NEWS: Pilot Incapacitation - American Airlines Flight AA755 (Boeing 787) CDG-PHL, from Paris, France, to Philadelphia, PA, USA (on Nov.29, 2023) - pilot had a seizure & collapsed!
Pilot had seizure that stiffened his legs & back, jamming his feet under rudder pedals on short final approach.
The captain immediately took over flying duties and there was no loss of aircraft control.
The relief pilot who was required to be on the flight deck during landing was able to remove the unconscious pilot from the seat.
This is the 4th Pilot Incapacitation in 2 weeks!!!

My sister wants me to fly down to Florida to spend the winter with her. But I’m rather nervous about flying these days so am thinking of driving instead despite the airfare being cheaper than what it would cost me in gas. It’s not just vaxxed pilots but also affirmative action air traffic controllers that I am concerned about.

Yes. But not likely any in the airlines you likely board.
For example those flying for private owners and small aircraft operating under different FAA regs(and without govt contracts)
likely were not vaxed. Most of those pilots were in general not prone to more gobt in their lives.

This is because they have recently lowered the standards of periodic screenings that pilots have to go through.
Otherwise, I have heard it said that there would have been a severe pilot shortage pretty much crippling the industry.
It’s a no brainer this is vax related.
Agree.....any UN-jabbed commercial air pilots are the ones who left, three years ago (or, whenever it was that the airlines began mandating these horrid $hots), and, are now flying private aircraft.
Sounds like a no-brainer way to destroy not only an industry (now, why would they want to do THAT??), but, as we’re seeing, destroy so many lives.
No way I’d fly nowadays. Zero interest in getting into crowds or planes...Way too many violent mental cases, freaks, passed out pilots, hate America hate whitey attitudes, airport shakedowns etc.
I personally find it hard to believe some would willingly go through all that.
You do what you want to do. FYI, it's much more dangerous to drive than to fly. Even if our standards for flying are not what its used to be.
