Democrats Learn the Lesson of 1860.

The Lincoln and Trump elections flipped the card table of American politics. As in 1860, there was no middle ground in 2016 between the two factions. One works to preserve the United States. The other despises first American principles, publicly rejected the President-elect, and pursues disunion. This faction is called the Democrat Party.

Compromise is possible when the parties differ on how to reach a common goal. Every sale in the marketplace is a compromise. The seller is satisfied with a certain sale point just as the buyer has a buy point. Equally motivated parties eventually complete the deal. The kicker is that despite the seller typically coming down, and the buyer going up, both can walk away from the transaction feeling like winners.

While compromise wasn’t easy, it was the way of Congress from 1789 to 1860. North and South found enough common ground in the Missouri Compromise (1820), Nullification Crisis (1832), and the Compromise of 1850 to avoid secession. The unsuccessful Crittenden Compromise of December 18th 1860 proposed to permanently enshrine southern slavery in the Constitution, making it unconstitutional for future congresses to threaten the institution.

It was too little too late. Even with the addition of one slave state per free state, the Republican North was more populous and expected to indefinitely continue its advantage in the House of Representatives and Electoral College.1 With the door closed to political solutions and compromise, the Democrat South found its permanent minority status unacceptable. Fearing endless government-by-northern-fiat, southern states had prepared for Lincoln’s election and soon held secession conventions. There were seven fewer states in the Union by the time of Lincoln’s inauguration, March 4th 1861, than there were in November 1860. Most Northerners weren’t upset to see them go.

Similar to the 1789-1860 period where the road to find commonality in the quest for shared goals narrowed and eventually led to dead-ends, political compromise today is but a dim memory. Over the span of eight decades since FDR, congressional Democrats and an increasingly Leftist Scotus slowly blocked access to common ground negotiations over pressing political matters. Instead, with increasing frequency, they shoved their destructive policies down Republican throats and upon an unaccepting society.

With the rise of fuzzy social justice, solutions to questions involving abortion, race relations, border security, citizenship, education/busing, census questions, health insurance, sexual practices, and even marriage are often outside the reach of a supposedly self-governing people. Every June brings the possibility of Scotus jack-booting another non-justiciable political matter outside the realm of compromise. Doing away with congressional compromise and siding with the Leftists left constitutional originalists marginalized and very angry.

Our sweet revenge was the election of Donald Trump. As in 1860, Democrats immediately refused to work with a Republican President and plotted against him and the United States. What conservatives long knew became evident to the nation; Democrats once again seek disunion. This time it isn’t over slavery; instead, socialism is their latest means to dissolution of the societal foundation on which our republic rests.

Per Dennis Prager’s 2017 warning of the civil war upon us, “There are those on both the left and right who call for American unity. But these calls are either naive or disingenuous. Unity was possible between the right and liberals, but not between the right and . . . (Left.)”

Once the bulk of Liberals turned Leftist they opposed every tenet of the American republic. As opposed to the radical FDR, they don’t fight barbarians; they embrace them. The Left’s goals diverged with America and diverged to the point where raw power is their single purpose. The Left would rather rule a miserable America in decline than be partners in a happy and prosperous republic. There isn’t a middle ground with these people.

Since the failure of their Mueller putsch, they employed an anti-constitutional impeachment and promise to impeach and impeach evermore until they succeed. Oh, and this is all done out of the fear that the hoi polloi, the Despicables, will reelect that indispensable man, Donald Trump.

Who will win the current civil war? Whatever the outcome, be confident the GOP will submit to Leftist authoritarians long before members stick their political necks out and risk reelection. In civil war, only the complete destruction of one side by the other will suffice, and that is precisely what Obama and his Deep State attempted.

The current Civil War is more of a civil war than the Civil War of 1861-65. The South just wanted to be left alone. Today’s Deep State Democrats are the shock troops of a real war to depose Donald Trump and conquer and declare victory over an invigorated police state in which “hateful” Facebook posts and MAGA hats are felonies.

Modern Democrats learned the lesson of 1860: don’t be the victim of demographics. Command demographics. In their long march to power by any means necessary, Democrats pushed, for over forty years, ever more illegal immigration to tip the congressional and electoral scales in their favor . . . forever. Florida and Texas, once reliably conservative, are purple. Thanks to illegals, California and other Leftist states have more congressional seats than they deserve. Oh, and Scotus won’t allow census-takers to ask if the respondent is a citizen.

There is little time to set things right. Once the Democrats finish their corruption of the electoral process, the game is over; they will never relinquish power. Like other failed republics, the forms of our government will remain, but they’ll never again serve their constitutional purposes in liberty.

There are two sides in this war:

1. the globalist cabal

2. the people

There is also much deception. The cabal has worked very hard too make us think our democrat neighbors are the enemy.

There are two basic groups of democrats:

1. regular citizens not part of the cabal

2. democrats who have joined the cabal

Our democrat neighbors who are regular citizens are not the enemy.

The American people are the group the leftist cabal fears the most. For this reason, the cabal is actively working to cause civil war so regular citizens start killing each other and then America will be defeated.

There’s a number of FReepers would argue that statement. To many of them, if you’re a Dem, you’re the enemy, bar none.

Best remark:

“The Left would rather rule a miserable America in decline than be partners in a happy and prosperous republic. There isn’t a middle ground with these people.”

“Our democrat neighbors who are regular citizens are not the enemy.”

You may be overthinking this. All democrats and many republicans are the enemy.

“Our democrat neighbors who are regular citizens are not the enemy.”

Wrong. Every Democrat is the enemy. Every Single One.

There is no civil war. Republicans surrendered long ago. There is only the continual elimination of constitutional, social and family norms. A Trump election will accelerate this elimination. But that won’t happen because they will not let Trump have a second term.

If your democrat neighbors vote democrat they support an open border, racial division, inflation, DEI & CRT in schools . . . the whole Marxist agenda.

If true, how are they NOT the enemy?

“There’s a number of FReepers would argue that statement. To many of them, if you’re a Dem, you’re the enemy, bar none.”

The only reason they might think this is they’ve been told
(induced) to think it by popular podcasts or news personalities.

Meanwhile, all of them can understand the difference between a genocidal cabal and a naive democrat.

These FReepers you mention would to a person call for prosecution, conviction and punishment for those who commit crimes.

How many FReepers would think their naive democrat neighbors should have the same punishment as a Klaus Schwab or a Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus?

Do you understand why we have a concept known as intent (MENS REA) in the court system created by our Founding Fathers?

No, I’m simply saying that to engage in civil war is to surrender to the enemy, because the enemy seeks our defeat through civil war.

There are two kinds who support civil war:

1) those who want us to have civil war because they’re the enemies of America

2) those who want us to have civil war because their thinking has been controlled by our enemies

“Oh, and Scotus won’t allow census-takers to ask if the respondent is a citizen”

Which brings up the real point.

The courts have far too much power. They arrogated it, it was not given to them. If popular will weighed more, the direction of the country would be far more reflective of the actual citizenry.

SCOTUS doesn’t think there is such a thing as a citizen. If it did, Barack Hussein Obama would have been politely told No.

Our democrat neighbors who are regular citizens are not the enemy.

They kind of are because they vote for the cabal.
