Joe Biden abandoned Israel on Monday when he refused to have the U.S. veto a UN Security Council resolution. The resolution called for an immediate ceasefire, which would then stop Israel from wiping out the Hamas terrorists. The ceasefire was not conditional on releasing the hostages, according to the Israeli UN ambassador Gilad Erdan.
Republicans, including Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted Biden for throwing Israel under the bus and throwing a lifeline to Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also ripped the move, saying that he would be canceling a trip to D.C. that his aides had planned.
So what has all that appeasement of Hamas resulted in?
Israel had agreed to a very bad deal in order to try to get the hostages, which included 5 Americans, out. The offer was a six week ceasefire to have an exchange of people.

It would get out a lot of the hostages, but let a lot of Hamas murderers out who would likely come back into the war against Israel. So not a great idea.
But even that wasn't enough now, with Biden throwing Israel under the bus and the UN being allowed to pass that disgusting resolution. Now Hamas is responding saying Israel is not responding to any "basic demand" -- that they want a comprehensive ceasefire that has Israel completely pulling out of Gaza and returns all "political prisoners" (Hamas terrorists being held by Israel).
So Biden's actions made Hamas even more reluctant to come to the table and deal honestly. Why should they? They know Biden and the UN will continue to pressure Israel. If they hold out, they likely believe that they can do even better and get more murderers released. That's the result of Joe Biden's weakness. Hamas doesn't care if civilians might be hurt in the process, they don't give a darn about their own people.
Ambassador Erdan ripped the UN Security Council vote for giving "hope" to Hamas.
"Releasing the hostages should be the first priority of the Council. Your demand for a cease-fire without making it conditional on the release of our hostages harms the efforts to release them and gives Hamas hope of achieving a cease-fire without releasing them. All council members should have opposed this resolution," Erdan said.
So now what will the left say? Israel was willing to agree to a bad deal, but once again, it's Hamas throwing a wrench into a ceasefire deal. It's Hamas who is always the problem in this equation, yet the Biden administration and the left will continue to attack and blame Israel, while essentially helping Hamas in the process.
But as much as Biden tries to throw them a lifeline, it now will have the opposite effect. It's not going to stop Israel from going into Rafah and wiping out Hamas. That will be the ultimate result of the rejection, now it ensures that's the only way to finish this and get the hostages.
Biden and his administration have officially turned against Israel. This is not good.
Of course they did! They could have ended this ANYTIME by releasing the hostages and stopping the rocket attacks and surrendering.
But they were never going to do that.

I can’t think of a more powerful memorial to the 40 remaining Israeli hostages, who have been tortured and repeatedly raped, and will undoubtedly be killed by their tormentors, than the extermination of all the Gaza Palestinivermin and exposing the corpses to dogs and pigs.
That Nobel Peace Prize keeps eluding him. Obama made it look so effortless.
Release the hostages or die. That’s it.

Hiw do they even know there are hostages that are still alive?
The Hamas believe that those who fight in the way of Allah and are killed will be given a great reward. They will be awarded with women in Islamic heaven. Their reward will have large eyes and big, firm, round “swelling breasts” that are not inclined to sagging. The Qur’an refers to these women as houri with the emphasis on their virginity.
On the whole, the Qur’an and the hadiths are filled with sexual fantasies that Muslim men are awarded when they reach Islamic heaven. Anas bin Malik, an Islamic scholar, claimed that “The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number . . . The Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men).”
Those brainwashed Hamas will let the IDF slaughter them thinking their paradise is but a shot away.

I disagree. Even if Hamas had released all prisoners and stop rocket attacks and surrendered, Israel should continue with the annihilation of Hamas at all cost because if they don’t it’s just a matter of time when Hamas regroups and does it again.
What’s needed is an end to the fake Palestine and it’s so called people. Israel should go on a campaign to state reality and state the so called Palestinians are forgotten Arabs no one wants and there never was a Palestinian country.
Israel should demand proof of life.

That is the only rational reason for Hamas to reject any proposed cease fire that includes hostages. This latest one is a real head scratcher and I believe Nick Arama has the best reason, Biden empowered Hamas.

Good. We gave piece a chance. They rejected it. Now kill them.
It goes without saying that Hamas will have to be destroyed.
Israel has a chance here to deal. Demand that the UN withdraws and dismantles UNRWA and that Hamas return the hostages (or their bodies, which is likely) in 24 hours, or Rafah gets leveled and all UNRWA personnel will be rounded up and expelled after they've been processed for a while.
The UN will reject this. The League of Nations failed collapsed because it wouldn't and couldn't do anything about the very problems it was set up to avoid. It's the UN's turn.
Sparing Hamas now just guarantees more deaths later.
