I want to agree with you ,but in the case of gas powered cars, what will you do when you can’t get gas, or possibly a car?
A ban can’t be done- too many people live out in the sticks, and they don’t have the money or means to move- the ov can’t tell then that they must give up their transportation if they are too poor to afford an ev.
Folks will not be able to get to their jobs when their evs refuse to start on cold mornings or when He electrical grids go down for the umpteenth time because of demand overload.
While He “right tO drive is a privilege, and not an actual right”, far too many people depend on that privilege tO survive-
The left screamed about “throwing granny off the cliff” when they pushed their asinine hillarycare nonsense, and they were very successful in scaring people to vote liberal, but banning gas vehicles will result in granny, her daughter, and her grandchildren to be thrown off the cliff all so that some self pious schmuck can feel super righteous about “saving the planet” (despite the fact that Temps won’t change 1 iota until nature is good and ready to swing the other way+)

Strictly speaking, that is true. But we KNOW that their next step will be outright banning the sale of gasoline after after 2040. That s a key element of their plan to finish off the remaining ICE stalwarts who don't want to be dragged kicking and screaming into the bold new future.
The best answer I can give is I guess we (as in Americans across the nation) will all find out.
Tens of millions of “latino” and “hispanic” laborers will be stealing electricity for the “rides.” Because they don’t have the time ON SITE to LEAVE the site, go some place and sit, waiting for their “rides” to recharge . . . and then get back to the job site.
EV’s are NOT ABLE to keep up with a lot of work.

I asked, why?
Because he “plugged into the outdoor electrical outlets at hotels along the way.”
