The Green Slime! Ford Lost $132,000 On Every Electric Vehicle Sold In Q1 (Hertz Ups Sales Of EVs To 30,000 As China Dumps US Treasuries)

The Green Slime! The global movement towards Green Energy (or global Marxist movement) is really The Green Slime! Or maybe it should be renamed “The Red Slime.”

Ford lost $132,000 on every electric vehicles they sold in Q1. It was so bad that even CNN reported it!

And then we have Hertz dumping its inventory of EVs. A slew of used Teslas have hit the Hertz car sales website after the company announced Thursday it planned to sell off 10,000 more electric vehicles from its fleet than originally planned, bringing the fire sale’s total to 30,000. Perhaps one of the reasons you can get such a good deal on a Tesla at Hertz right now is that the outlook for EV value retention is pretty grim at the moment.

Given the incidents of electric cars catching fire, perhaps saying its a fire sales is a bad choice of words. But what it says is that DESPITE massive incentives to buy EVs, consumer demand stinks. Although Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will claim the market is booming.

How bad is the trainwreck that is the Biden Regime? China is bailing on US Treasuries.

Then we have the harpies on The View claiming that the solar ecilpse is caused by … global warming. Also earthquakes. Sunny Hostin must have taken different courses that I did in college.

The Biden Regime is hereafter known as The Green Slime, given their horrible policies. Unfortunately, The Green Slime is here already … and Hertz knows customers don’t want them at least on a temporary basis.

According to a DEI accountant, Ford will make it up in volume.

It’s just stunning to think that people as highly paid as are auto manufacturing executives have shiite-for-brains. Any moron could see that electric vehicles (except for Golf carts) are not the wave of the future!

There’s plenty of reasons why EVs aren’t practical......the most obvious one no one wants to talk about is whether its AAA batteries or EV batteries, eventually rechargeable batteries will not recharge any longer.

We’ve all heard stories about the exorbitant cost of replacing them......NOT PRACTICAL. 🤷

[[Ford lost $132,000 on every electric vehicles they sold in Q1]]

Yeah but they will make up the losses in volume...

Old joke

My personal experience has shown me that a set of people with the highest level of formal education just accept whatever information they are presented without question. At work, some of the most educated have fallen for the most obvious email scams.

If they can fall for that, they will fall for anything. EV are good, communism is the only way to go, CO2 is poison, borders are unnecessary, leftist riots are peaceful demonstration and right of center peaceful protests are white supremacist riots.

Recently heard at a local Ford dealer:

Salesman: If you sign for this new Explorer Platinum right now we will throw in a brand new Mustang-E for free.

Customer: But I don’t want an EV anywhere around my property.

Salesman: OK, I see you are concerned about the instability of EVs. How about we knock off another $6,000 from our pending deal and you still take the Mustang.

Customer: Well OK - write it up.

Salesman: Great! I’ll get accounting to write it up. Now while we are waiting I can tell you that after your new Mustang is titled in your name and you still don’t want it, bring it back. Be sure to complain about something, anything and demand your money back. Of course since it didn’t cost you anything there is no refund. But we will take the car off your hands, declare it a total loss, and trailer it out to Cho BiDung’s junkyard. There it will be crushed and sold for scrap.

Sort of like if whenever you fill your gas tank it gets a tiny bit smaller. Eventually you don't go very far on a fill.

I think the AP Style Guide discourages putting the terms “electric vehicle” and “fire sale” in the same article.

I think the lefty CEO’s figured on the gov moving faster to force EV’s on people. Historically when you have a tyrannical government taking control you see business “leaders” trying to position themselves to benefit from it. You saw it with the bolsheviks, you saw it with the Nazis, and now you are seeing it with the democrats.

Funny thing is I do believe EV’s are the future. Not because of the green cultists but because electric motor characteristics are much more suited to the needs of an automobile and battery technology will get better. Left to a free market they would get better and eventually be adopted without coercion. However, with this government the coercion is the point..

Just like Solyndra. Same parties involved, same crappola tech, same goal — money laundering/campaign contributions.

No, gas tanks are getting bigger. I never used to be able to get $30 worth in my car even if it was running on fumes.

Now if you could just balance tank volume shrinkage with gas per gallon price increases, you’d pay the same for every fill up. Some people would never catch on.
