YANKEES SUE MARLINS, MLB
Outscored Fish in 6 games, says lawyer
George Steinbrenner and Joe Torre announced Sunday morning their intention to file a lawsuit disputing the results of the 2003 World Series. Papers were filed with a federal judge late Saturday night. Steinbrenner and Torre contend in the lawsuit that since the Yankees scored more runs in the World Series than the Florida Marlins, they should be declared the winners.
"You look at the overall score--we beat 'em by 9 runs," said Steinbrenner. When reporters pointed out to the Yankees' owner that games were won individually, much like the Presidential electoral process, Steinbrenner refused to budge, calling the system "outrageous".
David Bonior, lead attorney for the team, insisted that major league baseball has "an obligation to count every run."
Joe Torre, field manager for the team, sat quietly through most of the conference, responding "Yes sire" only when asked a question by Steinbrenner.

We all have heard of the Curse of the Bambino and the Curse of the Goat. I suggest, humbly, that New York has the....
HITLERY CURSE!
Consider these facts:
In October of 2000, the NEW YORK YANKEES WIN THE WORLD SERIES, beating their fellow New Yorkers, the Mets, in 5 games.
In November of that year, New York City is instrumental in putting HITLERY in the United States Senate.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE YANKEES SINCE THEN??
2001: The Yankees lose to Arizona in the World Series in 7 games.
2002: The Yankees are eliminated by the Anaheim Angels in the playoffs.
2003: The Yankees lose to Florida in the World Series.

I dunno, Steinbrenner is a crazy cat.

Great job. Funny, tho, this was exactly the analogy I used when arguing with Dembulbs after Florida.
