Egads...could it be any more condescending?
I'm convinced MSN writes for the 10-15 year old demographic. The author should have thrown in a few "like, ya know"'s for good measure.
Good grief...

Will Frodo destroy the ring? Will Aragorn wear the crown? The suspense is killing me - ya should have seen me biting my nails in the theater wondering if the astronauts would make it home alive in "Apollo 13".

LOL! Exactly my point!!
"Movie Fans" really irritate the heck out of me.
Yes, I am a purist. Yes, I do feel "elite". Sue me. LOL

We irritate you?
But we are so charming!

wondering if the astronauts would make it home alive in "Apollo 13". Spoiler Alert!
Me too.

Oh, come on now, Hair...you know that's not what I mean! :-)
I'm referring to those who are fans of Lord of the Rings, strictly based on their experiences with the movie...ie, those who haven't read a stitch of Tolkien's works.
I have such a "poser" in one of my co-workers, who once told me that he was a "huge fan". I, thinking that I'd have someone to actually discuss all the many nuances of Tolkien's writings, was apparently foolish for believing so. I attempted to initiate a discussion on the origins of, and purpose of, Tom Bombadil, only to have my co-worker stare blankly at me and say, "Who's that? Is he in the 3rd movie?"
Those are the people who irritate me. Not all my lovely friends at the Hobbit Hole! You folks are dear to me!
Oh...btw...12 hours till the Big Move. Panic has turned to a feeling of blissful ignorance. "If it gets done, it gets done."
LOL...I actually thought I could control such a huge event, down to the last detail. I was sorely mistaken!!

Does anyone know if there is a place online that sells magazines by the single issue? Where I live we don't get magazines at the little store and I don't want to subscribe to a years worth of Newsweek!

ya should have seen me biting my nails in the theater wondering if the astronauts would make it home alive in "Apollo 13". I was on the edge of my seat all during "Titanic" hoping they would patch that hole or at least get all the people off the ship before it sank....
