[history]
The wife of a Clairton man with five bullets still in his head after a robbery said doctors are calling her husband's survival miraculous.
"It's phenomenal," Angela Juliot said Tuesday. "The doctors said they have never seen anything like it."

That's just... I mean... just... WOW!
The robber must have gotten a box of reject bullets or this guy has one thick skull.

I think the amazing thing is that not only did he survive, but HE'S the one who remained calm, had his wife call 911, and although he's understandably in intensive care, is sitting up talking and giving the police a detailed description of his assailant and what happened. Good grief, when I first read the title, I thought maybe he was on life-support or something.

Seriously... I bet you this guy could probably drink both of us under the table...
That's one tough cookie.

That's one tough cookie. No doubt he's hard as nails.
But as long as we're being series, look at this:
Angela Juliot said her husband's family has owned the bar since 1946 and he took it over in 1976.
It's been my observation that successful bar owners don't stay in business this long by sampling their own inventory. Odds are that he adheres to a strict rule: he's either a teetotaler, or he may have an occasional drink during his off-hours while watching TV in his upstairs living quarters. But NEVER, EVER within his own business establishment.

the robber entered the bar three times Saturday night. On his first visit, he purchased two bottles of beer for takeout I blame this entire incident on Pa.'s goofy beer laws. If only this fellow could have picked up a six-pack, or a single bottle, at the J'int Iggle or Shop 'n' Save, none of this would have happened.

"It was a brutal and cowardly act," Morton said. "This was a 77-year-old man who was no threat to him. He had complied with all his demands. There was no need to shoot this man."Another one to retrieve from the file when the "Give them what they want and they won't hurt you" crowd starts spouting their pap.
