VANITY - Is It Safe?
Posted on 01/01/2004 5:18:31 AM PST by Senator Pardek
I've been hiding under my bed with my shotgun since last evening. Is it safe to crawl out yet? Will Chris Shays apologize? Do y'all know how hard it is to type a vanity when one is ensconced under one's bed?

You're a trip.
I hope the Pardek family has a healthy, prosperous, and happy new year.

LOL and Happy New Year! First thing I wondered this morning was whether or not anyone had called Chicken Shays to find out if he'd come out from under his bed yet.

I don't know if it's safe, but I've decided to stay under my covers until the 2d of February and come out with the groundhogs.
It does cramp my typing style too. I have my fax machine at my feet, and my printer at my side. (The keyboard is on my chest.)

I also meant to say "Happy New Year" to the Senator Pardek family. Where are my manners?

Did you know that Chris Shay's applied for conscientious objector status during the Viet Nam war?

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
These guys shot their wad with 9-11. They still hate us, they are still a threat, and they obviously want to kill us, but they have no idea how to do it successfully.
Come on out!

Do y'all know how hard it is to type a vanity when one is ensconced under one's bed? I find that a wireless keyboard works well when I'm hiding under my bed.

I'd get out from under that bed if I were you, Senator. But, FIRST, check around and see if Chris Shays is under there with you.

Well, I think you might want to stay under the bed today.
After all, there are quite a few parades, lots of Bowl games, etc.
Maybe it will be safe to come out after the Super Bowl in February, hope you've got a supply of food and water under the bed with you. (end/sarcasm)
Seriously though, my husband and I were just talking about the terrorists. In a crowd of one million, like in Times Square, it would take very little to create panic and cause many deaths, just from crowd panic and trampling.
If they can't put something together for an event like that, makes you really wonder about the capabilities of the terrorists. Or, on the other hand, has our intel been so good, that we've taken them "off the streets."
Things may have been "stopped" from happening that we will never know about.

I think Mayor Bloomberg "called" him through the media. He didn't deserve a private call, since he made his Chicken Little comments publicly.
