My Brother-in-law speaks out, or Slain by the Jaw Bone of an ass!(Vanity)
My Brother-in-law's opinions on everything!

Posted on 01/11/2004 5:28:49 PM PST by Ruy Dias de Bivar

My worthless brother-in-law visited last week. Just before he left to return to his home he left a long diatribe of attacks on G. W. Bush which I immediatly answered. He refused to read my rebuttal. He gets most of his so called "facts" from left wing news and hear say which he passes off as fact! I won't tell you where he lives because if you know him he probably owes you money. He hasn't worked in 20 years and lives on the public dole. Needless to say he votes for the "dim"-o-rats who will give him funds out of the public treasury.

His attacks in his own words...(My comments in parentheses.)

1. Foreign Policy is at an all time low and we may very well see porblems with other countries in 2004! "Dallas Times Newspaper." FACT! (says he.)

2. More troops have been killed or seriously injured since President declared the war over 3 months ago than when the war was on! Fact(says he.)

3. (This is a dilly!) 2003 New York Times Article supressed in the news circle by Congress... If Al Gore had been elected by due process, since he was elected by the people 911 would have never happened. We were already destroying "cells" of Al Quida during the Clinton-Gore administration but stopped when Bush became president. Go figure!

(Attacks of Bush) 4. 1st year in office tried to get Greenspan to increase intrest rates, not reduce them. Didn't happen. Greenspan saw through previous Bushe's B. S.

5. 1st year in office gave the USA car manufacturering company right to ease back on fuel milage! 1979 law on the books states how much gas milage cars are supposed to have now! (He drives a BIG RV and had a very large van.)

6. First year in office tried to get rid of OSHA, company regulatory overseers.

7.Like his father tried to tap into the Social Security Asministration interest money 1st year in office.

8.Both daughters arrested on drunk charges. Both under age.

9.Drafted a Tax Reduction act and pushed it through Congress-our grandsons will pay for. Another off shute of President Regan's Idea - trickle down theory. (Brother-in-law does not work or pay taxes. He gets a government Va pension.)

10.On his own put people in prison without representation or due process. Some are still in prison. It's called Tyranny!

11. Wife (Laura Bush) has a proven problem with inferiority complex-Gee I wonder why.

12.Took on a vice President who is the ex-CEO of Haliburton. Haliburton awarded control in Iraq for rebuilding. Lowest bid, yeah, when donkeys fly. Ge a no brainer here.

13. Took on a war with Afganistan and never finished the war then without authority went to war with Iraq.

14.Never to this day were any weapons of mass destructions found. (I gave him a copy of Boortz' Sept 22, 2003 archived report on WMDs He refused to read it.)

15. 2003 tried to get Congress to relax laws on oil well drilling in the National Forests. That did happen. The Senate stopped that idea cold turkey.

16. Now this! Locals think he's nuts! News item. Bush opens alaskan forest to logging.

All spelling is as he spelled it.

A 1000 miles isn't far enough, you need to move.

Just tell him that you are part of a vast right wing conspiracy with the goals of making Republicans rich and the rest poor. This will be done by taking all of the oil on this planet and Mars, starving the children, taking away SS from the elderly, putting more drugs into the ghettos,etc... but it must be done in secret. Just don't show him your secret decoder ring or the Fox News lineup.

I always find it much easier to leave politics out of family visits. I found it makes weddings, funerals and other gatherings far more peaceful. Life is too short to have train wrecks over politics with family members. I have many relatives in New England that are Democrats and proud of it. I took one chance at a wedding 2 years ago in Rhode Island. I was speaking with a cousin and asked why Patrick Kennedy was so popular among Democrat Catholics when he was for abortion. He had a stunned look on his face and said he would ask his wife. There was no confrontation and I am sure he thought about it.

Drivel.

I lost 5 IQ points just reading this. Your brother in law's head is so far up his fourth point of contact, the only thing I could recommend is surgery, yoga and a good chiropractor. I direct you now to the wisdom of the film 'Billy Madison'

Mr. Madison. What you've just said....is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response was there anything that could even be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I know a guy who claims he hasn't been able to afford his favorite cologne since 2002, since we have such a bad economy and how much he was able to afford in the '90s. He's 34 years old. You would think he could afford more if he tried to move up in jobs instead of just staying in the same non-moving job since the late '90s. It's an entry level position, not a career position. Yet, he blames Bush and keeps hoping scary Dean will win.

Tolerate dysfunctional relatives (and "Liberals" are by definition dysfunctional, or they wouldn't be "Liberals" in the first place) to the extent that you want to tolerate them. You might even enjoy their company from time to time. But NEVER let them get any power over you.

This can be said of "Liberals" in general, whether they be relatives or not. They're all dysfunctional--and potentially dangerous.
