How many dogs does it take to change a lightbulb?
Golden Retriever
The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?
Border Collie
Just one. And then I'll replace any wiring that's not up to code.
Dachshund
You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!
Rottweiler
Make me.
Lab
Oh, me, me!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can? Huh? Huh? Huh? Can I?
German Shepherd
I'll change it as soon as I've led these people from the dark , checked to make sure I haven't missed any, and make just one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the situation.
Maltese
Let the Border Collie do it. You can feed me while he's busy.
Jack Russell Terrier
I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture.
Poodle
I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
Cocker Spaniel
Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.
Doberman
While it's dark, I'm going to sleep on the couch.
Boxer
Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark.
Chihuahua
Yo quiero Taco Bulb
Irish Wolfhound
Can somebody else do it? I've got this hangover.
Pointer
I see it, there it is. There it is, right there.
Greyhound
It isn't moving. Who cares?
Australian Shepherd
First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle.
Old English Sheep Dog
Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see a light bulb?
Hound Dog
ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz*z*z*z*.z*.z*.z*
CAT
Dogs do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So, the question is: How long will it be before I can expect light?
ALL OF WHICH PROVES, ONCE AGAIN, THAT WHILE DOGS HAVE MASTERS, CATS HAVE STAFF.

Just wanted to take a break from the "Is Bush a Conservative?" fighting for some light-hearted fun.

,,, I've got a standard black poodle and a gold shih tzu. The shih tzu would say the poodle could do it, under her supervision.

I'm not a big fan of cats. They have no sense of loyalty. If your dog was suddenly 10 times his normal size, he'd still love you, still want to sleep at the foot of your bed and would most likely be willing to die trying to protect you from an intruder. But if your cat was suddenly 10 times his normal size, you'd be dinner or the worlds biggest and bloodiest scratching post as soon as it got bored.

Very funny:

I've got a Maltese mix, and you can't go near the kitchen without the 4-legged cottonball following on your heels. (And that's only time the dog will heel.) That dog could have just finished last night's leftovers, and still focus his liquid black eyes pitifully on your face if you try to eat one bite of food for yourself. I love him, but "Maltese" is Basque for "pig", or sumpthin like that.

More people get hurt by dogs than great cats every year, y'know. ;)

A little demanding, huh? ,,, the shih tzu is an object lesson in management efficiency. The poodle is loyal and clings to me wherever I go. Although the shih tzu is affectionate, she's a lot more independent. She knows she's not even one tenth the size of the poodle but she's the boss.
To: Orangedog
LOL! We've got one of those "attack cats", and she doesn't have to be 10 times her size in order to intimidate.
She's made every dog in the neighborhood afraid of her including our Weimaraners (aren't they supposed to eat cats for lunch) and the Rottweiler next door.
She charges any dog she sees, goes nose to nose with them, and the dogs always back away.
But I agree, our two dogs are our pets, they love us and adore us. But my cat's opinion of humans, "Why do I need an opposable thumb when I have human slaves?"

I love that image. BTW, the first known written history of the breed was actually authored by the Greek philosopher Aristotle around 350 B.C., where he attributed the origin of the breed to the Island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea - hence the name "Maltese".

I was kidding about the "Basque for pig, or sumpthin" but Hairball loves people and he loves eating - and fortunately, he's not big enough to eat people.:)
