This must be Psalms 68:17: "The chariots of God [are] twenty thousand, [even] thousands of angels: the Lord [is] among them, [as in] Sinai, in the holy [place]."

A flowery phrase saying God is glorious, and commands many angels, whose visage is as bright as twenty thousand firey chariots, and He is in their midst, commanding them. Our President may control twenty thousand tanks in battle, but he is not vested only with the powers of a tank commander, one among many. Clearly, our President is in command of all those forces, directing them. He is not "one of many" in command, and niether is God.

I agree. All the experts are adamant about trying to contact extra-terrestrials and sending messages. This may turn out to have been a very, very bad idea. We have no way of knowing until it's too late at best.

Reading Genesis shows that the stars and planets are only there for decoration for earth. This flys in the face of putting any intelligent life there. As does the entire rest of the bible like the fall and redemption of man and eternal life in glory or eternal destruction in hell.

A: Tead about their purpose more carefully and you will see what I mean, and #2: Stars = Stars and Planets. We just didn't know that yet and He wasn't telling us that secret at that time.

And you could even be right! But the "demons" are getting rather out of hand, flying rather material craft around what we thought was "our," or "God's" world, at their pleasure, and abducting whomever they choose.

UFOs are being seen now more than ever, but few will report them, and far fewer will be willing to be identified as having done so. One way for government to keep one's head in the sand, is just to punish and destroy anyone who says the emperor is naked, or that the Aliens are here, or that we saw them or their craft. That IS what has been done, and if it has ceased it has done so but recently, and people are still afraid to report.

I saw the Boohbahs yesterday. It is...disturbingly hypnotic, chock-full of swirling tie-dyed colors and trippy music. And they make the oddest sounds, a combination of beeps and and pings, and what sounds like the continuous breaking of wind. Plus, the way they draw their heads into their necks gives them a curiously - and I can't think of any other way to describe it - "uncircumcised" appearance...

I agree totally, if by evolution one thinks that life on earth, or the diversity of species, can be explained by eons of almost changeless time. A catastrophe every second, geologically speaking, is the way on Earth.

Never say never. It already has happened and is the main fact of our time, though not publicly announced. If evil spirits or demons are to blame, they have certainly done a good job of it, and have thoroughly taken in the Government. To all intents and purposes, life on other planets and star systems is already a fact. Intelligent life, as well. Superior to ourselves in the ways most moderns would assess superiority/ inferiority.

Or: (4) planets are very bad places, they have diseases, nasty natives, a deep gravity well, and poisonous atmospheres as often as not. Stick to the asteroids, they're sterile, easy to get to, easy to leave, and have all the resources you really need...

Unless the aliens are genocidal xenophobes, there would be no reason for an advanced species to contact us. I'd postulate that for a species to survive to a point where they can master space travel, perhaps FTL, they need to develop some sort of moral/ethical code that will prevent them from wiping themselves out. We came pretty close, as a species, to wiping ourselves out through nuclear war. If we'd been, say, 10% more aggresive as a species, the Earth might very well be a nuclear wasteland right now.

So, unless the alien species is genocidal towards other species, their only interest towards us would be to study us, much like we study chimps or gorillas. I'm not aware of any special properties our planet has, so I doubt they'd be interested in our resources. Imperialism or slave labor? (like in Battlefield Earth) Highly doubtful that an advanced, space-faring race would have any interest in that- they can obtain all the resources they need by mining asteroids and such with robots.

The only other interest they might have in us would be as some type of culinary delicacy. However, if that was the case, it would be much simpler for them to abduct members of our species covertly and establish a human livestock breeding program on their home planet.

My government can't run AMTRACK and turn a profit. I don't know how they could sucessfully carry off concealing aliens.
