As you say, God would have had to make them....It would free them from our earthly religious beliefs...not from God. Reading Genesis shows that the stars and planets are only there for decoration for earth. This flys in the face of putting any intelligent life there. As does the entire rest of the bible like the fall and redemption of man and eternal life in glory or eternal destruction in hell.

That may be true, as the bible says, but I do not put the same credence into the bible as you do. I will await the discovery of an alien bible which is the same as the earthly bible.

You must have fallen asleep and had a vision then. Because Genesis says nothing about stars being for decoration, and the word planet is not even mentioned.

There you go again.
ASSUMING things . . . too often on far too little micro-mist of a whiff of 'support' for it.
Must be IV Biblewonk 6:36.
Sometimes I really do not understand how any logic circuit could end up with your interpretation, construction on reality. So much of the time it seems you draw conclusions from absolute silence in The Bible. Other times it seems like you take some word or phrase in The Bible and by the time it wanders through your brain and out your fingers, it's gone sky west and crooked.
You are a smart person. But your Biblical interpretations just do not seem to be very consistent with that fact at all.
imho, of course.
