Having the technology to get here means that they can at least maintain acceleration long enough to get up to ramscoop speed, or do in-system manoevers.

This same technology could be used to net a smallish asteroid and accelerate it into an Earth-impacting orbit. An effective and devastating weapon.

(Read Niven's Footfall, for a fiction scenario like that).

Speaking of Niven, he wrote a short story (The Fourth Profession)in which aliens came to us to trade, in a lightsail ship. Part of the deal was, we were to build a launching laser for them so they could continue their travels. Civilizations unable to build a bevawatt CW laser of the right wavelength were considered to be "animals", justifying the alien's backup plan for leaving the solar system: they had a gadget that would make the Sun go nova. This was foreshadoed in the story, the aliens arrived six years after a nova was detected here, from the same direction.

Call a local VINEYARD or Assembly of God or Four Square church. Call all of them. Try and determine which are the most rational and balanced. Ask to speak with their experts in exorcism. Invite a group to come and deal with the problem.

You may have to comply with some requirements to insure such stays banished.

It's not healthy spiritually or otherwise to allow it to go on un bannished.

As far as the U.S. government is concerned, that discussion started and ended more than 40 years ago. Regardless of how the world's astronomy community might want to handle first contact, Uncle Sam has ideas of his own. And they rest on the assumption that ET is first and foremost an illegal alien.

I don't know that such PROVES your list of things but it's a reasonable hypothesis.

There are plenty of mysteries even in the Old Testament. Lot giving his daughters to the perverts is not very wonderful.

Yeah, God's nature doesn't change and He's altogether good. I don't know that we can make many judgments about HIS PRIORITIES vis a vis ET's, demons etc. and our current complex era.

The complexities are soooooooooooooooo many and soooooooooooooo complex. Rigid assumptions apart from Scripture are very hazardous. Even assumptions based on Scripture can be pretty hazardous.

It is my understanding that God will destroy this Earth and Heaven with fire and there will be a new heaven and earth because there is too much evil existing on Earth. Just too much.

I don't know about the evil thing. It's conventional wisdom that the Earth will be burned and the oceans will boil when our star, the Sun, runs out of hydrogen and starts to burn helium at its center. The Sun will grow hotter as the energy generated at the center starts to resist gravity, which supports the Sun. The core begins to enlarge...eventually, the Sun becomes a giant and our poor little planet may become enveloped by it. The Earth then becomes toast. You can see this if you live another 2 billion years.

It started off pretty sane- how would we react to first contact, what are the religious implications etc. It's gone off the rails.....
