I believe that we all have a metaphysical component as humans anyway, so the prospect of connecting via metaphysics shouldn't be seen as an impossibility. that said, I don't subscribe to the "ET's are more spiritually enlighted" bit as a necessary condition in any eventual contact. The physics and technology of today is magical in the eyes of the past.

Not to offend, but because you believe we all have a metaphysical component, doesn't really mean that we do, or that we should be able to connect metaphysically. You're assuming a lot...do you know something we don't...are you an alien?

A very, very small percentage of UFO reports evidently/MAY refer to bona fide angels.
On the other hand, Petersen in his translation of The Bible into modern vernacular English akin to the vernacular of the original languages called THE MESSAGE
persistently in the Old Testament uses 'God-of-the-angel-armies' as the name for God.
And we have Ezekiel and Elijah's chariots of fire images.
But at least a few of the ET races seem to be at odds with God's priorities except that they are nevertheless fitting into His plans regardless.
