I also loved his comment about wanting to be left alone by "pitching his tent by the WMDs so that nobody would ever find (him)" the man is funny!

Well, the funniest line was when he said that they weren't going to market the movie in a traditional way, with a Burger King offer of the "The Last Supper Meal" I laughed out loud so hard I surprised myself! I was commenting with my friend, who's a Video Editor through the whole thing, they cut this so bad, so mishmashed. They would have a close up, then cut back and his hands would be in the air, or they would be on a different topic. It was BAD, but one thing I am certain of, if they just showed the unedited version Mel would have come off a whole lot funnier, because that is his nature.

They tried to take that nature out of him, but they failed.

If you think her reaction is bad now, wait till two weeks from now when the pariah of the movie business in #1 in the box office.

I expect some efforts will be made to ban The Passion of the Christ shortly after that. Two many know what happened in Scotland after Mel's last movie.

I just saw the interview with Diane Sawyer and felt that she exhibited a look of true HORROR throughout the interview. Such is the look of evil when confronted with the unmitigated truth and love as presented in the Gospels. My prediction: Liberals will continue to try and vilify this film and just won't understand why they're unsuccessful.

Right now you can be sure there are dozens of vengeful critics of The Passion of the Christ going through every word Gibson has ever spoken, looking for something to hang him with. It will of course be out of context, something he said in jest, or something someone heard him say when drunk or from a woman who felt he couldn't keep his hands to himself but it will all be compiled and then dumped on the world three days before The Passion opens on Ash Wednesday in an attempt to derail the film.

You're absolutely right about this. As soon as this movie comes out, Canada (and perhaps other countries) will try to block any screenings of The Passion of the Christ on the grounds that its depiction of the Jews constitutes hate speech.

An interesting question. I wonder what Gibson's plans are for showing the film in Israel (and how will it be received?)

I agree, the whole anti-Jew/anti-semite thing is funny. The real problem is anti-christianism!!! Most of the world is against us, but what else is new.
