How do I stop freerepublics yahoo group from filling my yahoo mail?

I got on this yahoo group the other night when FR crashed. Now anytime any one posts anything in that group it goes in my yahoo mail.
Its clogging my inbox and the constant pop ups are driving me nuts! HELP!!

First, go to the FR Yahoo group, edit your subscription, and tell it "no mail."
Second, go to
http://www.mozilla.org and get Firefox. That way you can turn off all popup ads, everywhere.

Go to yahoogroups and set your preferences to no mail.
To: mylife
Go onto the website for Yahoo FreeRepublic. In the upper right hand corner there is a line "Edit my membership"
Click on that. This will take you to a page showing your membership stats. Near the bottom, there is a section called "Message delivery". Click on the NO EMAIL selection and save changes. Then exit. The system will stop sending you emails of messages posted on the board.

On the Yahoo!Group FreeRepbublic2 front page, go to "Edit My Membership" (upper right corner) and change your mail option to "No Mail" then hit save.

Don't open the mail. After a few days/weeks it will slow and stop. Just like my Hot Mail account. I only get 5 or 6 porno mails a day. Delete. Delete. Do not open. Delete.

Thanks to you all! I dont find yahoo very intuitive. I have lots of troubles using it.
I prefer msn messenger but keep yahoo for some stubborn family members

I was on that night too and noticed a post about 5 tractor trailor trucks traveling south on Interstate 5. Very suspicious...all arab speaking men who stopped together and all took out silver boxes when going into truck stops. I didn't see anything about it after that. Do you remember it or was I dreaming?
