Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

"'Zat a promise? I could do with a few fully operational mass specs."

Yes--all you have to do if you want the fully operational mass specs is to pick up your light saber--strike me down with your hatred, and your journey to the Dark Side of the mass spec wavelength spectrum will be complete. . .Bwahahahaha!

I have yet to incorporate much weight training into my days, so you're doin' a lot better than I am.

One possibility for me is that they have weight equipment of some sort at the college gym. I've been hesitant to go in the past just 'cause I was soooo out of shape, but now that I'm getting more back to "normal", I may look into it. They typically have a few training sessions in the fall to teach people how to use stuff. I could use something like that. I'm afraid to just walk in and try things.

I don't like lookin' stoopid, I admit it! Too bad...'cause I'm DARN good at it...

I'm giddy with anticipation. *laughing*

It's hard to believe I'll be on the other side of the country by this time tomorrow. But I'll be in such terrific company, that fact wil probably be forgotten. :-)

Are you going to meet us tomorrow night? I know that Hair and ecurbh will be busy. Is there anything going on tomorrow night? I'm confused, but terribly happy!

The weight routine I'm doing uses just dumbbells. Fortunately my parents have a lot. Monday I did everything with 8s, tonight the exercises were different and I used 10s and 5s.

But yeah, look into the college gym thing! (If someone were to come live with me, we'd be able to do spotting for each other...)

And if you say you look stupid again, I'm gonna have to rebuke you sharply ;-)

I'll have to re-tune for that, right?

"Send it. My arthritis kills me sometimes."

Sent! :) Do you do any stretching exercises? I sometimes get some joint pains from typing that Tai Chi type of exercises help me with--getting the blood flowing into the affected area helps.

I didn't notice any missed dramas--we're slacking today! :) I'm not sure where WN got to, either--I've been kind of in and out today. What's the status of our Wedding Moot travellers?--whom I guess we could call the Fellowship of the Moot :)

LOL! If you go to Barnes & Noble or the library in the sports section they have some books that'll help you out with how to do the various lifts.

You're giddy? Cool... I haven't been giddy in ages, but it sounds like fun.

Yepper... I'll be meeting up with y'all tomorrow afternoon, as soon as y'all start showing up. The plan is fairly loose, but that suits us all methinks.

:-) Big grins.
