"A notice appeared on the gate at Bag End: NO ADMITTANCE EXCEPT ON
WEDDING BUSINESS. Even those who had, or pretended to have
Wedding Business were seldom allowed inside.
HairOfTheDog and Ecurbh were busy: writing invitations, ticking off answers, packing up presents, and making some private preparations of
their own. From the time of
the Hobbit Hole contingent's arrival
they remained hidden from view."
All the best on your special day, and many more special days thereafter.

Well, I did hear that the girls are now on the ground. Ruthy ended up delayed in Miami, so she wasn't able to take the same flight as WN and 2J.... but they are all on the ground now and headed south. Ramius is waiting for them at a watering hole near Scott's house.

Star Wars original trilogy isn't out on DVD yet. Target date is in the September time-frame, IIRC...I keep tabs with my local rental/sales outlet :)

Heh, see how much I care, I didn't even know that. And I was a huge SW fan for ages. Sometime before Episode 2, I realized how very bad Episode 1 had been; and then Episode 2 was worse. I'll see 3, but only because I still like bits of it.
How can you turn Vader into such a pathetic wimp?

Hey Rosie... I promised to tell you how I liked "Dracula". Only about halfway through but I'm quite enjoying it. It's not that scary yet, either. A couple nervous moments, certainly, and some interesting bits... very clever style. It's a - what's the word for a book written in the form of diary entries or letters? And that delightful old language.
I'll let you know if my opinion changes but I think I'm going to have to make you check it out of the library. It's so nice to have a genuinely evil vampire, modern vampires are all just Freudian symbols and nonsense like that.

I think you needed to come last week when ecurbh wasn't worn out! - He's crashed on the couch, which is where I am headed back to! We have to recover some of our strength!
Ramius just called, and all the girls were at Scott's, and they were about to go out. The moot has begun! Bear and Rose should be landing in an hour.

Tommorrow you'll be on the big silver bird, winging cross the plains and the mountains to the woodland by the western sea.
Have a great time.

I did see the original when I was in 1st grade. ACK!! Now I'm feeling old! SSQ and I had been married for two years and he was in Grad school at Florida State when it debuted! We were entranced, and bought the soundtrack LP within a couple of days. Still have it, but don't have a player for it anymore!

I was thinkin' ksen could drive, but we might need two vehicles.
BTW, Better Homes and Gardens says to "lift" the cannas. I'm thinkin' I'll dig most of 'em up like you said, and leave a couple to see how they do. They're coming up nicely.

re; two vehicles, well, I figured 'Ol Red' would be perfect. It has a fiberglass cap on the bed, so we could just load them in and lock down the cap so none of them would fall out on the way back.
"lift the cannas" hadn't heard that term before, experimentation is always appropriate when gardening. Ours are going quite nicely as well. Second bunch of daylilies are coming on strong, asiatics are still thriving and the hostas have the stalks and buds up.
Spent the day walking new right of way, going to get to do it tommorrow, just about perfect weather.
So, with that Goodnight, Hobbit Hole.
