We all felt so bad for Ruthy, missing the flight with you folks! But glad you all arrived safe and sound.

I'm just about to start fixin' the breakfast...it appears we're having bacon, eggs and bagels with lots of hot coffee.

I slept on the couch with the window open and cool breezes from the Sound blowing over me...it was fabulous and when the sprinkler system came on, I fell asleep to the sound of it and it was very peaceful. I slept like a log!

Ruthy says it's likely because it was like 3:00am my time and I was exhausted. She's right, but I feel refreshed this a.m.

Ok...see you soon, Hair! I got my chuck taylors on and I'm ready to roll!

Garden stuff...which I know gets old, but I'm excited! I have TONS of basil coming up, and the chives are FINALLY sprouting! I also have scarlet runner beans, and my zucchini plants are out of the ground, at least. Heh...did make the mistake of planting one packet of seeds without labeling the spot. I know it's an herb, but I can't for the life of me remember what I planted there. The little plants are kinda thin and feathery, so I'm thinking maybe the dill seeds from last year. If so, I'm amazed at how well they're doing. I'm actually going to have to thin them. I still have another packet of dill that I bought for THIS year, but if that's what those are, I can save that packet for next time.

The tomato plants have flowers, but I'm really worried about one of the plants. It looks really dry and sad, though I'm watering it and everything just like the other, which is now much bigger and greener. *sigh* I dunno what to do for it!

Also not sure if I should be tying the beans to the wire fence behind 'em somehow, or if they'll latch on themselves once they get a bit taller. Hm...

But it looks like a decent year for my plants, considering!

Very good! We're freer today than I thought. Have to clean up a little around here this morning from the carnage of company yesterday, but I just got off the phone with Dad, and he doesn't think there's anything that needs done that can be done today. He is choosing to put everything up in the morning tomorrow.

Sonya is coming up today too to meet y'all, and she'll be calling when she gets up.

I violated my own rules...I got headlines today in the paper for something the City did yesterday...which I called "bungling". I'm sure they love that...glad I'm not going in there today.

They aren't in pots, though!

But I AM half thinking of digging that one up, carefully...adding more "stuff" to the dirt around it, and then putting it back in. I'm afraid the shock would be bad for it, though.

But...ya think maybe I should?
